I think you, my fellow reader, are writing your DJ entries all wrong!! A tip for writing DJ entries.

When you write a DJ, you write what happens in the dream, right?

Then i walked up to the store and entered. A girl there said that i should buy some Dr Pepper. I found some then left. All of a sudden, i was being chased by a BIG RED monster O_O. he chased me through a forest. I soon escaped
Well, from what you/ I have learned from ADA, you should write what happens with all 5 or your senses and your emotions. So, let me fix that DJ example

Then i walked up to the store with grey walls and one dirty window and entered. An ugly girl there said that i should buy some Dr Pepper. I found some next to a tennis racket and a rusty metal rod then left. All of a sudden, i was being chased by a BIG RED monster with sharp fangs and a loud roar. He was on 2 legs and had scaly skin O_O. he chased me through a forest with lush flowers and beautiful grass, the grass crunching with every step i took. I was terrified. My legs were hurting as i ran through the dense forest. I soon escaped
Noticed how i incorporated most of the senses into that example? If you do this in your DJ entries, you might get better results with dream recall with more vivid dreams involving more of your senses and better detail.

I try, but often the only senses I can remember are sight and sound.

Well, like ADA, focus EXTENSIVELY, and soon feeling will come. Not sure about the other 2... useless senses

Good observations overlord. I find that the more detail I write dreams in, the more detail I recall. It also increases the frequency of my lucid dreams.

I've been writing like that since I joined DV. I don't use ADA though.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I agree with you completely on this... emotional writing and more details make for better DJ. Also, the more detailed you get when writing a dream down, the quicker you are to remember that dream when you're reading about it a year or two down the line.

I try to do this when I can, but sometimes I just don't have the time or patience to spend an hour writing my entire dream down in complete detail...
