Thinking of technique - maybe new, maybe not.

I've noticed my recall following a pattern lately that undoubtably every keen dreamer experiences all the time as part of dream recall intentions. I wake up, think for a couple of seconds, "Oh no I didn't dream!" then ( observing the usual method of staying still and not doing much) a dream pops into my head within a few seconds and I can soon see associations and fill out the dream before getting up to put it in my DJ.

So, this is a big WHAT IF, but what if you conditioned yourself to start this process while within a dream? You'd start memorising/recalling a dream while you're still in it? Last night on going to bed I thought about my intention to do this and had a very interesting dream (not lucid though) where I started memorising information given to me by my wife in the dream and used that information in the dream towards a purpose (detecting counterfeit money, interestingly enough).

Maybe this idea has potential, maybe not, or maybe is just already established in some way as a technique.

If you can function your brain to remember while in the dream then I give the highest of fives to you. That does require a lot of thought and concentration throughtout the day though even if I were to do something like that.
