Lightbulb DILD Technique my ultimate technique..

Hey there. For those of you who have trouble getting lucid and don't like the fact with a lot of Induction techniques you must wake up and go back to bed. ( Once i wake up i cant fall asleep). Well heres my guide to help you. Its pretty much a lot of the techniques that don't require you to wake up. By combining these techniques you're going to increase your chances of getting a lucid dream by a lot.(via DILD) Here we go. ( You can switch up the order of the first couple of steps but you should have a dream journal!)

      1) Dream Recall. Practice your dream recall, record all your dreams in your dream journal ( everyone should have one, even for non LD)

      2) Take naps around mid day. Its a natural time for humans to sleep and it also increases your chances of having an LD. ( i find it easier to recall dreams from a nap)

      3) Find a dream theme/sign. Go through your dream journal find a common theme/sign that will remind you that your lucid. For some reason my two common dream signs are 1) My cousin 2) I rarely have to open any doors in my dreams

      4. Create a Mantra. For example " When i see (dream sign) i WILL become Lucid" Repeat this many times before you go to bed.

      5. Do reality checks through out the day. When ever something odd happens, WHEN YOU WAKE UP IN THE MORNING (because if you happen to have a False Awakening and you do a reality check you can become lucid) or when ever your think about dreaming. Make it a habit. If you see your dream sign in real life do a Reality check ( for example when i see my cousin i do one).

      6. Scan through your DJ and look for the most frequent seen person in your dreams. Do A RC when ever you see them in real life.(if that person is one of your Dream signs then don't worry then)

      7. Pick a Letter any letter.(The first letter of your name if you'd like) When you see it through out the day do a RC.

      8. So Now you should have multiple things to make you do Reality Checks through out the day. Try to Remember them. Make it a habit trust me its worth it.

** I forgot to mention, pick reality checks that aren't very noticeable to people around you because you may have to do a lot through out the day. pick ones like looking at your hand and reading text twice.**

      9. As you go to Bed stare at your hands. Stare at them real good. Concentrate on them for about 5-10 minutes. In your head or out loud say " The next time i see my hands i will be dreaming"

      10. Become aware of your surroundings. Through out the day ask your self how did i get here and think back. Get into the habit of this.

Now it may be hard to remember all these different signs through out the day but try remember most or all of them ( even better) because it will increase your chance of a LD greatly!

Now once you got to the habit of doing those RC through out the day you will probably see those signs in a dream. Whether its a dream sign, Your hands, The Letter A, or seeing something so bizzare you will become lucid. Now quickly stabalize the dream (eg. spinning or shouting lucid x1000) then shout in your dream "Every time I dream, I will become lucid!" or something like that. If you are a visual person , imagine a pill that will make you lucid every time you dream. Believe this and it will work. Put emphasis into it, make a song out of it. What ever helps.

After you have said the mantra look or summon the most common Dream Character you see every night. ( for me it would be my cousin) Now tell him (or program him ..remember its a dream) that when ever he sees you he will tell you that your dreaming. Believe that this will work. and it will.

Now following all these steps will GREATLY increase your chances of getting lucid within a dream. This is a combination of techniques that you categorize under the "DILD" section. This would help people who can't wake up in the night. Follow these steps and you'll be lucid in no time.

      DE-PROGRAMMING

If you find that you don't like the idea of having a Lucid dream EVERY Night and you'd like to see what your mind comes up on its own then when your lucid create a pill and say " After eating this pill i will no longer become lucid every night but every 2 nights" ( or what ever). Eat the Pill. Then find/ summon the person you programmed and tell them that they don't need to tell you that your dreaming any more and there free to do what they want.

If your in the middle of the coolest non-lucid dream and you become lucid.(and you don't want to be) just tell your self that your NOT dreaming and trust me, you will forget that your dreaming.

I Hope my Tut. Helps! and thanks for your time.

Add on: I forgot to add Really's ( the users) MP3 File. Listen to this before going to bed or while falling asleep with headphones/ earphones/speakers. (recommended headphones)

It'll work..... The letter idea is new. It's not so much the letter but the priming of the mind to look out for dreamsigns.

i want to say good job compiling all these techniques. This is great for me because I feel there is so much you can do and i get lost in all the stuff for
DILDs so i kind of give up. This will give me an agenda, thank you!

Sorry for Step Number 7. Change it to Colour instead of Letter. You'll be doing alot of RC's if it was Letter but you'll be doing enough if its colour...

This is a great compilation of different techniques which I think holds great potential!

It seems that it will definitely saturate your mind with lucid dreaming and will also make you much, much more likely to perform a reality check.

I am definitely going to start doing this as it should produce a Lucid Dream every night once you have done it for a while.

      Thanks for the technique(s),
      Brandon

Excellent post. Really really nice. I prefer to follow a list of "rules" rather than performing the normal ADA. I'm sure these ones increase my lucids for more than 1 per week

EDIT: Just got a lucid with your "stare at hands" advice. yay!
