      REM Induction?

      Sup people.

my question is, is it possible to get into REM state while awake?
i mean like bringing yourself into REM state on purpose, not while sleeping.
that would be really cool , so i wouldnt have to do a wbtb ^^

      just asking, curious, thanks

      interesting topic...

When you say awake, do you mean wide awake REM or just feeling the sensation of your eyes moving rappidly?

I myself have experienced the latter.

Yes. The trick is to train your brainwaves to run at 4Hz (or 3.8Hz to be precise). The Monroe Institute did a lot of research on this and the Frequency Followed Response where it has been observed that the brain will go into the same frequency as external sound or light.

      You can read more here:
Binaural Beats and The Frequency Following Response | Research
Brainwave entrainment - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Or download a copy of Liquid Dream and click on Tools -> WILD Inducer.

well i know one think that would make it possible^^ you could get Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) and fall into a hypnagogic / wake state.
really works, but is scary since youll probably ( 60% Chance) see spiders and ghosts crawling and flying around your room, under your blanket ^^
its really dangerous, i dont want to make anyone take it, just for your information^^

I mean, get your brain to be in REM , then go to sleep . The reason doing this is to get into SP easier. thats what i ask

Would it be possible to consciously move your eyes (like in REM) and just sort of drift into it?

I think I wanna try that tonight.

I have recorded lots of REM sleep. If you want to move your eyes like that you would want to blink every 3 to 4 seconds (with your eyes closed, so just twitch them). Not sure if that would do anything for you though.

I think he is asking about whether or not there is a substitute for WBTB. In WBTB, when one wakes up, their bodies want to reenter REM, and so it is easier to fall asleep or enter sleep paralysis. He is wondering if there is anyway to have this effect without the few hours of sleep prior to WBTB, so that one can enter a lucid dream more easily from the start of sleep.

He's talking about forcing your body to skip right to the REM state. He doesn't want to wake up right before his REM pattern then do a WILD.

that dog is in rem and is dreaming, unfortunately for them dogs dont have SP, if a human did this, due to our size, it would cause some more harm.
