Was trying to MILD, ended up in WILD? And why are my lucid dreams all at the same place?

So I've been trying to MILD. I did dream incubation, worked really hard on my goal, basicly all day imagining. I slept less hours than normal as well so I was all prepared.

Alarm 6 hours after sleep. I woke up for WBTB, hard focus on dream scenery, and went to bed trying to fall asleep with the goal of flying. At some point, I felt too awaken so I calmed down and tried to ignore all the thoughts coming trough my head.

At some point I feel being violently pushed out of my body, and I started wondering "huh? sleep paralysis? I was just trying to fall asleep!" and bang, performed a WILD

The other question is, any clue why whenever I get lucid (be it with WILD or DILD), I always appear in my bed? I know they are probably FAs that my brain induces to trick me into thinking I'm awaken, but not a single lucid that hasn't started in my bed

      Hey zoth,

I'd like you to think about what you've done, WILDs are much harder to do than MILDs, so well done there.
I think the reason why (I worry sometimes that I might do this - I dont want to waste time) is trying to go to sleep, not WILD and laying there too long, and only realising when you transition.
Secondly, the reason why MILDs work is because in a dream you are most likely to remember the last thing you did in waking life, which explains why the dreams scape that you wake in is similar or the same to the last place you saw in real life.

Well done on achieving a WILD

Don't worry about waking up in your bed and becoming lucid, I would actually use that. Imagine all the crazy stuff you can do with your house/apartment. I don't see how it would matter whether you get lucid using WILD or MILD, but the intentions when trying to WILD is definitely enough to get you lucid spontaneously. I've also had a few WILD's unintentionally like you, it happens sometimes when you catch yourself falling asleep and just on the edge. Those experiences can definitely help you when you're trying to WILD wholeheartedly.

If you have any more questions, ask away!

Thanks for the support arch, to be honest I was way more worried cleaning my head and imagine the picture for MILD that I didn't even notice that my body was shutting down. It was a sudden burst of energy and then nothing. 5 secs later another burst and I entered in a lucid dream.

Yeah, I thought it could be that, but my first lucids were DILD ones, that's why I got confused. Maybe it's because my mind is still trying to make me loose lucidity that it always creates a false awakening in hopes I get distracted (funny when the lucid dream ended I ended up in a FA in which I was panicking for not being able to find my DJ to record the dream xD).

Guess I will try WILD again, I never had even tried performing it after 6 hours of sleep, so I hope it will work again

No problem, the best way to stay relaxed and not worry about HH is not even know it's going to happen because you're trying to have a MILD

I think I've got to try to WILD like this. Just try falling asleep doing a MILD mantras. Whenever I try to WILD I always just lay there and never get to the point that I can actually fall asleep. I think I just remain too aware and connected to my physical body.
