Weird lucid dreams taking place in bedroom

I don't know why, but each time I end up lucid (my 2 last lucid dreams), my dream is always taking place in my bedroom and It's like if I can't get out of it. I'm having trouble moving, etc.. really weird

umm that is strange have you tried imagining a different place in your head and concentrating really hard? OH! have you read through all the info on the front page i would strongly reccomend that they probably have the answer

I've had a few Lucids That started in my room. I always have a hard time with those. because of it being a place so familiar it's hard to comprehend that it's a dream.

I've never had that problem of not being able to move very well. I've heard a lot of people speak of it on here though. It's probably just one of those mental traps you can get into sometimes. Maybe try not thinking about it, and just focusing on something else.

Maybe if you just resolve to do nothing in your next Lucid but sit there and observe your surroundings. Relax and don't think about trying to move. Possibly you could suddenly find yourself being able to move again.

      Just a thought.

Do you feel like you are still trapped in your body, having a hard time moving out of bed? Or are you just trapped in the room?

Its pretty common to have some weird body distortions or be trapped in your body, and a bit disoriented. You need to focus on separating your dream self. If you want to detach yourself from your body, try rocking back and forth until you can roll over, or roll out of your body. You can also try to move through space without moving a specific part of your body. Like floating, levitating, sliding, spinning, ect. Imagine a specific, vivid sense of movement that does not use your legs or arms.
