      Daytime Lucid Dreaming Overload

I'm working on a new technique, and I want your input for other things I can implement.

I'm trying to have 'Daytime Lucid Dreaming Overload.'

Basically it will be a spin off of a bunch of different techniques, combined, and put in high gear.

I am trying to combine as many standard daytime preparations as possible, to keep my focus on Lucid Dreaming.

      Please help build my list...

      1. Computer Reminder - Every 15 minutes, 1 minute of full awareness, including visualizations as if I became Lucid
      2. Android Reminder - 5 times throughout the day, to perform a reality check (annoying - may stop this)
      3. Bright Zip Tie on Motorcycle and Truck - Reminder to keep awareness
      4. Binaural Beats for 10 minutes before bed (more so to help get to sleep)
      5. 100mg of B-6, and melatonin 1 hour before bed
      6. Drink 24-32 ounces of water, one hour before bed
      7. Wake through the night for dream journal
      8. Night Time Montra for 10 minutes during Binaural Beats
      9. ???

I've got my standard reality checks covered with the android reminder (as well as whenever I think about it). And I've got the Mindful Consideration pretty much covered as well during the 1 minute of full awareness. I really try to be fully aware, and question if it's reality. Not necessarily doing reality checks (although I do), but more so trying to look around, and prove to myself why it is not a dream...not proving that it is one. So I guess the assumption is that it is a dream, and I only am convinced otherwise when I can prove it to myself. I think going the other way may be harder, and one can miss a dream sometimes. I think you have to get deeper into questioning reality, and truely believe that it could be a dream to do this right. With dreams that I have had, I could definitely be dreaming right now...wait a second

Thank you though...I know those are basically the most important elements during the day. I'm looking for additional ways to implement those, or other things as well, though.

Visualization is very important. MILD is powerful if you practice it for steady regular time. Imagine yourself getting lucid and hold on to the image of that happening. In a way, you're brain will never forget about that, but the stronger the reminder is, more chances you will remember to check for lucidity in a dream.
Meditation/focus training: meditation or focus training is very helpful because at some point, it's much easier to focus on your surroundings by having a clear peaceful mind. Also, before bed, try to let go of all worries and expectations you have. Many of my dreams were about work and after doing this small exercise, they are much more varied and rich in content.

When you reality check, imagine what you would do if it was a dream. Try to visualize your reality check failing, and the lucid dream progressing from there. It is like daytime MILD.

That's a good way to incorporate the visualizations, thanks.

Visualize, visualize, visualize. Oh, did I mention visualizing? When we imagine we use the same part of our brains (the secondary visual cortices) as when we dream.

Does visualizing during the day help flex that part of the brain, so that it becomes better at creating a dream scape?

This is all too much. If you overload on anything, fatigue will be the end result.

But yeah, I think this is all a little overkill, at least for me. If it feels a bit too hard to keep all this up, drop a few of these. But if you are able for them all, by all means do them.

That's the point. To overload on it all. It's not an everyday type of thing. Say you have nothing, or little to do one day (maybe once a week, or once every other week, or even for a few days straight if you can handle it), and you want to just bombard your mind and body with whatever you can to encourage lucid dreams.

Something must be working, cause the other night, I had 3 DILDs in one night! With waking and writing in my dream journal between each.

Normally through the day, my standard thing that I do is #1 - Computer Reminder that has me reality check and have awareness once every 20 minutes. (I changed it to 20 to make it more random - I was starting to expect the 15 minute one just before it would come.)

Could be a good thing to practice only on weekends or whenever, but do it for the whole day as much as you can. Nice idea.

This is what I do now, really strengthens my MILDing, I had five lucid dreams last week when used with WBTB. So I really advocate MILD as the best lucid dream induction, afterall, Laberge says once he developed it he used it to have lucid dreams at will

In regards to the original post, I'd find that much RCing to be mentally exhausting and so counterproductive. You should really focus on a more refined awareness and RCing at key moments in the day on a regular basis (but don't let it get routine), accompanied with visualisation and MILD and WBTB on nights when you can sleep in in the morning.

Also, don't use supplements too often or you'll rely on them for your lucids.
