Just go back to whatever technique you were using and got interrupted since you know that it works better than any of the others.

You already know that you can get to "seeing water and vibrating", just keep that in mind so that you can stay positive.

Also most people say that it is better/easier to start out with DILDs, so instead of focusing too much on just WILDing you might want to try DILDing (everyone has a technique that is best for them, and maybe you are more of a DILD type of guy)

Thank you, WinRic, for mentioning that there are indeed other methods to attain lucidity than WILD. I have not yet figured out why the WILD technique is so popular among the folks on this forum, especially because it is much harder to do than DILD. DILD needs only some memory practice during the day and well-set intentions before sleep. WILD requires deep concentration, a strong command of your own awareness, and ultimately the ability to stay awake while going to sleep, which ain't easy. Why everyone wants to do it here is beyond me... maybe because it has a cooler name?

That said, I've successfully used WILD many hundreds of time (it works best with WBTB or napping, BTW), and have almost never had these vibrations and hallucinations that are so often discussed -- I just carry my awareness straight into a dream. So Willkerr, don't worry about it if you don't hear or see anything particularly special on your way "in." If you're still "awake" when your dream starts up, all is well!

I think most people try it because it sounds easier and faster. All you have to do is wake up in the middle of the night, lay still for 20 minutes, and then wait.
While with DILDing you have more work all throughout the day, and it takes a long time to get good at (then you also have to try MILD with it, which adds more work)

All I tried after learning to recall dreams were WILDs because I wanted instant results (and never got fully through SP, only the start of it)

No success with WILDs made me quit for at least a month, then I threw on a watch and started using it for easy RCs and I'm now at about 1-2 lucids a month and improving.

The key words in your post were that it "sounds easier and faster," even though it is not. Think about it -- doing a WILD is pretty much doing an impossible thing: you've got to stay wake while your entire body is struggling to put you to sleep. DILD and MILD do not have that problem, and have the added bonus of disciplining your waking awareness to be more ready when the LD actually happens. So they're easier and more effective. In fact the mental discipline required to WILD takes far more time to master than the "extra work" that you have to do for DILD and MILD.

      Hi there my friend,
Have you ever considered using a DEILD? It's an easier version of WILD. The main concept of a DEILD is to not move the moment you wake up, while remaining still, that's the time you attempt to WILD. When done properly, Sleep Paralysis(or also known as the transitional phase) usually takes a couple of seconds to kick in. Why not give it a try? Read the official DEILD Tutorial to know more details in DEILDing.

Be patient my friend and have confidence in yourself. Try and try until you succeed. Don't Give up, don't let such failures hinder you to LD. Hope this helped and Good Luck

      Moved to WILD
      From my rotting body,
      flowers shall grow
      and I am in them
      and that is eternity.
