Economy Reality Checks

Last night I had a lucid which caused me to realise that I'm not doing my reality checks efficiently. It was one of the rare occasions that I was alone, because in almost all of my dreams I am with people. It makes perfect sense that I would be more likely to get lucid on my own, because I now realise thats the only time I do reality checks - when I'm alone. This means that it's very unlikely that I will remember to reality check in a dream with other people, dramatically reducing my amount of potential lucids. I like to do fairly intense reality checks, disecting everything around me and questioning everything because my dreams have massive holes in their architecture but standard reality checks rarely work (except for good old nose plug ). So, I know now that I need to reality check in less convinient places, but thats where the problem lies. I won't be able to go through my normal reality checks while I'm with people without ignoring them, so I need to have a bank of "Economy Reality Checks", ones that I can easily and quickly do while having a similar level of conciousness to my big checks. Anyone have any ideas?

I just pinch my nose and try breath, and then think if I had been in a dream I would of been able to breath, like this then I visualize pinching my nose and breath in. And then I think if It did work then I would stabilize by doing wateva and go do wateva.

That seems like a good idea, incorporating a bit o' MILD. How long do you normally take doing that?
