      Different WILD ,WILDers please read !

      Hi !

      question to exp.LD`rs:

      1. how do you breath during WILD ? (is it like 1sec inhalation. ,1sec exhale )
      and secondly
      2.your eyelids are closed,but where do you lookright,left? up ,down or some other place maybe 3 feet away at imaginationable spot?)

      idea is that if two dreamers make same things to successful WILD then maybe its one step closer to LD "holy grail"

      Please make those observations next time you WILD and share that information.

      I breath in and out just any way which I feel comfortable with. I think it is a breath in and breath out, not really much of an interval, although each inhale and exhale lasts for roughly one second.

      I focus just straight ahead with my eyes when starting off, concentrating more on my breathing (counting each breath out). My eyes eventually move to the down position, which I believe is when I start getting the "HI" -- don't force or move your eyes yourself, they should gently move down themselves.

      That is what I do.. Although I could be terribly far from the real answer, as I am still trying to preform a WILD. I have only had little success, never becoming lucidity (or not from memory).

      dont worry about the intervals your breathing, just breathe... breathe in... breathe out... however is confortable for you, and about the eyes, the last thing you ant to do is try and look at something, your eyes will start to cramp and then you wont be able to close them wiithout them hurting, just close them exactly how you would if you were going to sleep

      Heh my problem is that my heart rate goes up. I don't know if it's from excitement, or if it's supposed to happen even if you're 100% used to it/calm... but it's definitely distracting.

      Its hard to do WILD for me right now becouse im kind of sick and my nose is stufed up and i have to breathe throught my mouth but if i do that my mouth gets realy dry.

      REPLICON!!!! i tried WILD today and i was doing it but my heart rate went SOOO fast that i made myself stop and got out of bed i was so spooked. is this normal? anyone??? it is kinda wierd that it would race.......what if doing WILD ACTUALLY KILLS U?? that would be bad.

      as far as breathing is...today i kind moved more towards REM when i noticed myself not breathing for 2 seconds. WIERD! at the time i was just looking and trying to control the swirls of black that i see most of the time while trying to sleep. thats HI right? as far as those vibrations go.... are people reffering to the feeling u get when waking from REM sleep sometimes and u feel like u are shimmering? it feels like ur heart is going really fast but its not ur heart right? or is it........

      Hahaha. Ok first thing...calm down. No a WILD certainly cannot kill you. I have also experienced this increase in heart rate during a WILD...I believe it comes from either excitement or nervousness/anxiousness that comes from the whole WILDing experience. Try to remain calm...that is KEY. As you try more WILDs you will become more familiar with what happens to your body as it enters SP and so on, and you won't become so anxious causing your heart to race like that. Also if you are entering a WILD thinking that it could kill you...well that probably isn't the best mind set lol.

      About your questions, I do not think about my breathing at all, because that just distracts me. I just think about things like I would as I normally go to sleep. I lay there still, just letting my mind wander, not worrying about my breathing or where my eyes are. You can't force it, you have to let things happen naturally. There is a fine line between becoming too anxious/conscious and then you will NEVER enter a dream state, and being too out of it and just falling asleep.

      Once I notice that the things I am thinking are really starting to not make sense anymore I try to do something so that I remain conscious. I like to sing songs in my head, reciting the lyrics. It's pretty cool because once you actually enter hypnogogia where you get hypno imagery and sounds you can actually even HEAR the song as if it was really playing...not just in your mind. From here you sort of try to follow everything into a dream. The transition can be difficult...so don't expect to get it right on your first few tries. Just don't give up. And good luck!!! And whatever you do...don't think too hard!
