      Experience with Calea Zacatechichi?

Hey I came across Calea Zacatechichi today on youtube and thought it was intersting. So if you have tried it what is your experience? It is just a little strange to me and makes me slightly nervous because I don't really know where the line is drawn between herbal tea and drug. This doesn't concern me so much as it would my parents probably (I am almost 15). Some may think "oh your just a kid don't do drugs," but really, does this count? See why I'm confused about it. So anyway, has anyone noticed any acutal effects on your dreams from this?

I just started looking up Calea Z on the net, and I'm seriously considering buying it in form of capsules. I have heard, that tea tastes unbearably bitter and bad. And I don't smoke. I'm already taking GalantaMind, which is also herbal extract, and I would like to take Calea Z sometimes, so I can take a break from GM, to avoid building up tolerance to it.

Good question - where does the herbal tea end and a drug begins. I see it this way - drug is something, that if you take it, it alters your state of mind to the point, when you can put someone in danger (while driving...) But if you take GM or Calea Z when you sleep, I don't think you are endangering anybody, especially, since it only helps you to have more vivid and lucid dreams. But I will read up more info about CaleaZ, before I decide.

I would also welcome to hear about experiences from CaleaZ.

BTW, this should be moved to Lucid Aides.

Thanks for the reply. I have thought about it and now I realize this probably isn't an actual mind altering substance, but more of a phsycological thing, which is what I think most herbs that have to do with mood and such are. As for the wrong section of the forum, I'm not sure if I am able to move it, and if I can, I don't know how! lol. I think I'll buy a plant tonight, I could buy the extract but I like to grow things so either way it should be fun!

Don't worry about moving the post, admin will do it, if necessary

I don't think it falls in the category of "bad" drugs. You can buy it legally, afterall.

Have you tried Galantamind? It's made specifically for lucid dreaming. Last three times I tried, I had a lucid dream. But did you try to have an LD without any supplements? I't worth a try.

I have been fiddling around with different techniques for lucid dreaming. But nothing serious, I have had one lucid dream in a reletivly short period of "trying." Either way I am interested in trying this to see if there is a noticeable difference in my dreams, lucid or not. Galantamind looks cool, but one looks pricey and two I'm not a fan of pills, I'd rather just grow it naturally.

Ive used the leaf form of it and it depends on the method you use it, for instance for some people if one uses it for 3 days and quits then on the 4th day the dreams will be vivid.

In other cases people get direct results from tea they sweeten with pure stevia extract and lemon and drink on the first day.

Another method someone told me was they smoke an x15 or x20 extract but I have yet to try this method unsure if they used a vaporizer as the material might be sensitive to direct flame heat.

best of luck with whatever you find works.

Well I bought seeds for it. And against what I read, they were easy to sprout. So we will see in a while how it works.

I'm a pretty experienced Calea user. I've tried taking it in every form , the tea is almost unbearable, smoking it honestly isn't that much better. I'd recommend doing it in capsule form, especially since Calea is meant to be taken in a large quantity right before bed. Unless your planning on doing the traditional way which is time consuming. Your supposed to fill up both hands full of Calea, put half in tea, and smoke the other half while drinking the tea. Normally when I'm ready for bed I don't want to do all that so the pills are the most efficient.

Although it doesn't work often for me it seems to vary on the user. I've given friends a small joint of Calea and some reported being able to lucid dream. My friend never heard of lucid dreaming before and called me in the morning telling me how he instantly could control his dream and was driving a Lambo around.
Calea is supposed to increase the vividness of your dream along with your recall. All of it depends on your body chemistry, dream recall, and lucid dreaming abilities.

Calea is also naturally grown from the ground and perfectly healthy for you. Calea zacatechichi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I bought 100 Grams of calea and for 20 dollars online from a herb growing website. Although it was good it was full of sticks, stems, and branches. Make sure you're buying from a good website and you're getting a good price.

I'd like to test myself with the tea, just or fun. And I won't be smoking it. My only other choice is capsules and I think it would be way to hard or me to make them. And yes, I insist on using what I grow, so tea is my only "easy" option. Oh well though I think I can just deal.
