Was I getting to a Lucid Dream?

Hey everyone im fairly new here so bare with me. But i was reading the forums last night and i found out about isochronic tones. Ive been trying to have a lucid dream for months now and i still couldn't do it so i thought id give it a try. So i put headphonese in and played it while i was trying to fall asleep. After about 15 minutes into the tape I started to feel really weird and started to feel like i was falling through my pillow and bed it was a really strange feeling. Then it almost like my mind went very clear and I could see everything perfectly, but I just seeing blackness. While this was happening I kept feeling that I should open my eyes, like something was almost making me open my eyes, almost like i was opening my eyes to the dream. So I ended up doing it but I just opened my eyes to reality. After about another 10 minutes it happened again but this time my leg had a little spas attack and it caused me to leave this state again. So guys can you please explain to me what this was happening to me? Was it a stage of going into a lucid dream? It was kind of a nice feeling too.

      Thanks.

      Hi,

From what you've described, it sounds like you were experiencing symptoms of sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis is a normal stage when attempting to WILD. It also seems like you were very close to becoming lucid. The twich of your leg that you experienced is refered to as a hypnic jerk. It is a type of myclonic twitch which occurs during hypnagogia (a stage in sleep paralysis). Simply put, it's an involuntary contraction of your muscles. This is nothing to worry about.

The feeling of wanting to open your eyes is new to me, but I here's what I think:
      1. It was in your head. You were nervous, so you wanted to open your eyes.
      2. Everyone experiences sleep paralysis differently, if at all, this may be the case for you.

Congratulations on figuring out what works for you.

Yes, probably. I recommend you take a look at some WILD tutorials so you have a better idea of what to do from sleep paralysis. Most of them will recommend you stay calm, and try to picture your dream.
