      Sleep very oddly

Last night I discovered that if I sleep under my mattress, having my bed sandwhich me, I get more lucid dreams. I had a lucid dream of seeing my dog last night becuase of that.

It is also helpful to change sleeping locations and posistions constantly. One night sleep on the stomach on your bed, the next under your matress, and the next night after that on your back in the closet.

When I do any of these a lucid dream is very likly to happen without me even trying. I was actually sleepin gunder my mattress just to be wierd and not be a typical "normal" person.

Good to hear you found something that worked for you! Changing positions takes the 'routine' out of your dreams, it is kind of like disrupting your sleep cycle. That is most likely what causes lucidity. I could be wrong here ofcourse.

Uncomfortableness as a reality anchor? Well, if it works for you keep doing it!

You win at not being a typical "normal" sleep person

I wouldn't call it discomfort, but something odd.

If i was a typical person my reality would be the boreing humdrum of wake up, go to school, come home, try to study, then go to sleep. Well i go through that, but the goings on in my mind keep me sane. I honestly dont get why so many people are content with modern life.

I totally agree with fredfred. In fact, whenever I have been on vacation, I will have an LD 9 times out of 10.

What is it about changing environments that condones lucid dreaming? That would make an interesting topic, if one hasn't yet been started.
