So I'm new, so Hi!
Anyway I've been really interested in Lucid dreaming for a while now. I seem to have really vivid dreams naturally and I often remember the last dream I have, though sometimes If it's just plain weird or scary I remember it too.
Anyway I think the technique where you wake then go back to bed (I forget it's name) is probably the best for me since I tend to wake naturally anywhere from 6 - 8 hours after going to sleep and often I go on to sleep another 6 - 4 hours unless I need to get up.
Anyway back to my point, it's often in the second I guess session of sleeping I seem to recall or realise I'm dreaming. I know I get semi lucid because I realise I'm dreaming but I don't seem to take control. It's like I go I'm dreaming, ok back to letting the dream run. The most annoying thing is I not long after that begin to realise I'm waking up because I'm starting to conciously process the sounds I'm hearing.
I try to keep a dream journal but often I just can't seem to remember enough detail to write it down. Like one dream I remember it was like I was on a custom mario kart track but when I woke up that's all I could remember apart from a few oddities like pokemon appearing or black holes.
Anyway my point is how can I stop myself from waking up and how can I get myself to take control of the dream?
Also what's your opinion on this: I remember I had this dream one night where I thought spiders where on me and I had to get them off, only I'd swear my eyes were open and I was seeing myself and not the dream. I'm also fairly certain I wasn't awake or hallucinating. (I know It's not exactly the right place for this but I just thought I'd ask because I can't get it off my mind)
Thanks,
Naomi
