Hey ryman, |
|
Last night I repeated some mantras before falling asleep. this morning i woke up remembering a ton of dreams but had no lucids. I went back to sleep and kept dreaming several times in a row. I happened to have a lucid dream but don't remember becoming lucid. Just randomly at some point in the dream I realized i was lucid but did not do any RCs or anything. I'm wondering if this was considered simulated lucidity or if it was due to the fact that i repeated mantras before initially falling asleep for the night. Several times in the dream it started to fade and i did all sorts of stabilizing things to keep the dream going such as verbal commands, rubbing my hands together, and just focusing on my surroundings. A few times during the dream everything went black and i was able to succeed in a few dream re-entries. I was in full control of the dream after realizing I was lucid. Just wondering if i technically used the MILD method or if i was just dreaming of being lucid |

Hey ryman, |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Yeah, I'd say that was a real lucid. Congrats. |

Alright, then I'd say it was a lucid because I knew I was dreaming and decided where I wanted to walk around and what I wanted to do. It wasn't like any of my other lucids, it was a little more chill if you know what I mean. Didn't try to fly or change my whole dream scape really. Although I did eat in it which was the first time I've ever ate in a dream, not to sure what I ate but let me tell you it was delicious. Haha Would using the mantras technically mean I used the MILD way of inducing it, or just happened to have one? |
|
Hm. Well, mantras often take more than one day to kick in (for me anyway), so it could be a coincidental DILD, but I guess it would be considered a MILD because you used a mantra. There's really no way of knowing, but I'm willing to bet that the mantra influenced your dream. |
