Strange results after doing a lot of RC

Yesterday I was very determined to get lucid in my next dreams. I did a lot of RC and repeat mantras a thousand of times during the day.
When I slept (didn't tried to WILD or WBTB), I dreamed that I did the nose RC and the air passed through it and I realise that I was in a dream. The problem is that I didn't feel really lucid, it was like a story, a normal dream, but much cleaner.

It was only a normal dream or I forgot the details of a lucid dream???
      Thanks!

If at any point you thought/said "this is a dream" then it was lucid, but you may have just immediately lost lucidity, this has happened to me before where I became lucid and then my friends showed up and I then I talked to them about how I was just lucid dreaming, and then went on with the rest of a normal dream. Very frustrating, just have to reaffirm that you are dreaming right in the moment and keep lucidity.

Our big human brain assimilates the days activities in dreams, keeping what it deems important and tossing out the memories we really don't need. You obviously thought so long about LD's that you had a dream about having a LD! When you really have a LD ... you will know it. There will be no doubt and it will be one of the most wonderful experiences of your life! Good luck to you

I also get plenty of regular dreams, when I dream about getting lucid and talking, even explaining lucid dreaming and helping others get lucid.

Try to focus more on questioning you waking reality. At anytime during day, stop what you doing and ask yourself 'am I dreaming?' You have to really question it, not just automatically answer 'of course I'm not'. Try to imagine, that you have already had a lucid dream and you know, that it can be as real as waking life, and that moment could also be a lucid dream.

When you determine that it's not a dream, then you look at your hands and say a couple of times 'next time I'm dreaming I realize I'm dreaming.' Hopefully this behavior of questioning your state transfers into your dreams and gets you lucid. Then - after you get lucid - you do a reality check to confirm. Happy dreams
