That is a part of Sleep Paralysis. Many people report hearing voices or even loud noises. Just remind yourself that it's all just happening in your head and let the thoughts flow. Focus on the lucid dreaming. |

I hear the voices mostly before I get to Sleep Paralysis. Last night going to bed, I was trying to lengthen my falling to sleep so I could better categorize the stages. I got to hearing the voices speak to me, I caught enough to remember a female voice say, "that knight is stuck in your house, your garden overdue for repair." A little bit after that I remember jerking awake, as if I did a mini jump in my bed and my whole body felt as though it shook. |

Hypnagogia is not just images... like blobs and geometric patterns. It can also be auditory hallucinations. |

It is a problem that I have had often enough. That is hearing things so real that you almost can not believe the sounds are imaginary. A good example is I have what they call "White Knight Syndrom" I am quick to jump in and try to help the weak or women. So you can imagine that when I have HIs involving some one screaming or words like 'Help' I would be hard pressed to not respond! The fact is every time I decided to break SP so I could make sure no one was hurt, it turned out to be HIs and not real. I would suggest to you that you find a succure place to sleep, so that anyone who walked in on you would be a harmless friend or family member. Then you can ignore sounds like people calling your name or foot steps. Just force yourself to accept them as made up. Easy to say, harder to do, but you will adjust and do just fine. |

WILD is a much harder process than many may want to believe. It takes years of practice to get good at it, and speaking for myself, I only suceed maybe 1 out of 3 or 4 times. That is after more than 2 decades practice. I am pretty good at it, and can pretty much always get to a fully aware state, while my body is sleeping. However, the conditions need to be just right for a good LD to come out of it. As an example I tried a WILD 2 nights ago. I did everything just right, fell quickly into SP, and started seeing colors, I even saw at one point a brilliant explosion of fire, and heard a bell ring that sounded 100% real and very loud. I worked on trying to visualize a dream body and got to where I could feel as if I was walking or running, but no LD started. I kept at it,,, still no LD, I felt like I had been in my trance for a very long time. I managed to barely open one eye and look at the clock. I had been in a full WILD trance and in SP for 1 hour! I just gave up and woke myself to start my day. |
