Cool First longer LD :P YEAH! :D

Just had my first longer LD - was quite concious for some time during different dreams. I'm sure they were quite vivid, too. (I usually have good recall, but i forgot most of the details the moment i woke up, probably has something to do with being tired?)

Anyway. I wanted to share how awesome the feeling was when i looked out a window and could see and hear a whole city outside.. I thought to myself, "there probably won't be any cars, since I don't know anything about the different models and stuff, my subconscious wouldn't be able to create them convincingly".. and there came down the road a 70s-style car (see, i can't even describe the type drew a sketch in my dream journal though..) and a truck in an altogether too cubical form

Also, I kept myself from making radical changes to the dream scene, just went along with things, noticing my surroundings, so that I wouldn't lose the lucidity - so, what is the best, safest way of changing the scene without the dream breaking apart?

The post is a little bit incoherent, sorry for that. My brain has gone to sleep, already, apparently.

grats on your fist good one!

I was on the web and I found this
"You can pass through dream objects such as walls, glass, trees, and everything else. Confidence is really the key here. Some variations on going through stuff can be going in slowly, wiggling your finger in first, or running quickly into the object and telling yourself you would go through it. Some people particularly like to go through mirrors because of the unpredictable effects this action produces. However, if you tell yourself you will end up at a certain location before passing through a mirror, you can change the dream scene quickly. Be warned, some people experience nothing and wake up after passing through. You may want to hold your arm to keep yourself in the dream."

From what I've heard when I had questions about this, people say the best thing to do is to grab an object or feel something, or perhaps look at your hands closely and say out loud "Clarity Now" With emphasis on the now. I had a semi lucid last night and noticed that I was dreaming, and so I was trying to get rid of something that was surrounding me and scaring me, just as these walls surrounded me. So I said fire, nothing happened. I said it again, louder this time. Still nothing. The last time, I yelled it and felt the power in myself as I yelled it, and it worked. The walls fell, and the dream scene changed. Shortly after this I woke up..
Congrats on your first full lucid though! It's an amazing experience, that some people seem to take for granted. One which unlocks our minds to their greater potential. Happy Dreaming my friend!

I like the idea with the mirror or voicing your intent, but both techniques seem to be very unstabilizing... just thought about changing the scenery detail by detail - while walking through it, until you reach the place you want to visit.

I suppose I'll try all of these and see which one works out best..
