ive started to meditate as well but my dream recall has remained second best. All I can really do is be consistent. The best lucidity tool i've ever encountered is the mnemonic device and ive been unitizing it with some success. It can be used in conjunction with meditation as well.
I think my change in habits is messing with my recall, and Ive been consuming too much sugar which fogs my recall as well. If you can recall that state of mind in consciousness, focusing on that during meditation is very helpful.
