      Cool Starting to wonder

Okay so last night I had my 5th lucid dream, I was in a junkyard type landscape and it was dark out with some fires spread around the place, I remember hearing someone on an ATV coming, then I saw them, I didn't see a dream sign I just knew I was dreaming. So to get away, I willed myself to fly and I did, taking off like superman. Just as I started to feel the wind in my face, everything went black as the dream was ending, and I remembered a way of prolonging control but by that point the blackness I saw was the backs of my eyelids which ended up opening.

I'm wondering if I'm possibly almost a natural who has yet to discover his full lucid abilities. Also, how would I go about reminding myself to stabilize the dream?

And, since this is my 5th lucid... Bananas!

Running before you can walk springs to mind!

      Some ways of stabilizing are:

Interacting with the environment (touching, feeling, smelling, IMMERSING yourself)
      Rubbing hands
And as a last attempt, spinning.

Tried the spinning, which resulted in a strange blurry double vision sort of thing, seeing two different scenes at once.
Problem is, it seems like when I realize I'm dreaming, I'm unable to tell myself "this is a dream, remain calm" because I'm usually in a situation where I'm trying to escape something evil feeling.
Guess I just have to attempt to think deeply and meditate on what I need to do in my lucid dreams.

I would say the spinning is a last resort, try the others first. Grab something nearby and run your hands all over it, concentrating on the texture. Stuff like that. Shouting 'STABILIZE NOW!' works for some people, but only if you are really confident when you say it!

Getting calm takes practice, I'm still working on that one too, just keep practicing and you'll get there soon!

I don't want to sound like an asshole, but there are tons of great tutorials that have been posted by the more experienced members. My advice is to view that stuff first, before making new threads about this topic, you'll get in-depth info on everything you need to know.

      Have fun and happy dreamin!
