      Help please?

First off i want to say hi to everyone, im fairly new here and am wondering something that i feel is the only thing blocking me from acheiving lucidity... Intention. I know it sounds simple because my own intent comes from me (obviously) , but i feel that intention is the key to lucidiy, but i just cant reach it yet for whatever the reason may be.. Anyone willing to help?
      - Thank you in advanced

You can't have good intention unless you've already had your first lucid, just work on awareness and after you get a lucid, then you can do it fully from intention

You mean you don't intend to lucid dream? That will certainly stop you. But why don't you intend to? Surely if you want to lucid dream, you have the intention to? Or am I just not reading the post correctly :S

      Ooh, their breath is warm
      And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
      Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper

Once you get really good they will happen with no effort. After I had my first one they kept coming but now I'm kind of at a stop for whatever reason

Yeah, it doesn't work like that! Except maybe rare occassions. Most people have to work on it, using techniques learned on sites like these. Take a look around and see, you'll find ways of making lucid dreams happen.

As far as intention try just thinking "tonight I'm going to have a lucid dream" before you go to sleep. Meditation and relaxation techniques will also help boost your intention and focus. Be relaxed about it though, sometimes trying too hard will have the opposite effect. You get a new chance to try every night. Remember, its most likely to happen after you 'burn off' the first 4 or 5 hrs of sleep and are in your longer REM periods of the night. Good luck! It will happen eventually.
