Firstly, I should tell you that you must be patient. It can take more than a month to have your first lucid dream. Everyone is different after all, so everyone learns to lucid dream at different rates.

I don't know a lot about the best times for a WBTB/WILD combo really. I think it's more of a personal thing that you have to experiment with on your own. Once again, everyone is different, so things vary. Just experiment with it and do whatever feels natural. Also, you should avoid bright light and other things that would make it hard to fall back to sleep during a WBTB.

MILD is a technique that I personally consider very easy. Many other people find it easy too. There are a lot of ways to do MILD, but they're very easy methods. I recommend reading this tutorial if you're interested in it. http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/naiyas...hnique-119050/

For dream journals you should write down as many details of the dream as you can possibly remember. You want to train your brain to remember as much as possible after all. If you only focused on the main points you could end up only training yourself to remember half of the dream.

Thanks, you have a good point.

I should have made it a bit more clear about the length of time awake for WBTB. My problem is that I fall back to sleep way to easily and I don't know if it's because I'm not concentrating hard enough or if it's just because I need to stay awake a little longer. Also, will having bright lights on mess me up, or simply wake me up more (if my problem is in fact that I am not awake enough.)
