A very strong dream signal! HELP! :(

After keeping a dreamjournal for months... I've noticed a shocking fact. For some reason 95% of my dream settings are based on either my two old childhood homes or childhood school (grades 1-6).

I just keep on seeing dreams about these locations... and for some reason I can't get lucid when i see/live in these now-almost-unreachable childhood places. It's getting reallyreally frustrating.

How can I use these 3 locations to my advantage? I'm on a long dryspell after a few promising lucids.

Create a strong intention of remembering to realize that you are in a dream when you see these places.

Or to remember to do your reality check when you see them.

Like MasterMind said you have to do reality check when you see something simmilar to them and say that you will be lucid next time you will see these places in your dream.

By the way my dream sign is my early school years aswell but lately i don't dream about it.

My current house is a personal dreamsign of mine. I just reality check everytime I get to the door.

No luck after last night, Hmm I guess I have to say something like "I will remember to do a reality check every time I see these childhood places" along the day...not just in the evening, when going to sleep.

I'm having a slow phase... Could you guys be a bit more specific of how to create a strong intention?

By wanting it, reminding yourself every day, making it a habit.

While you are in bed try to visualize these childhood places whilst telling yourself you are already in a dream.

Hehe scumbag brain strikes again. Now that I've raised my awareness about these locations I stop seeing these places in my dreams

Hmm I'll keep on visualizing. By the way, what's the surest (not necessarily the easiest) way to become lucid in your opinion. I'm asking this openly.

LoL maybe Freud was right, what you subconsciously suppress during the day is what manifests in our dreams, and now when you focus on it well you don't dream about

That reminds me about what my gf used to say. As a kid she used to think about zombies and other scary stuff at bedtime so that she wouldn't then have a dream about them. But on nights when she forgot to think of zombies, she had nightmares about zombies.

Hmm but I found a neat WILD/WBTB variation technique to try as I explored this Finnish lucid dream forum. Someone came up with a technique where you had to imagine yourself hanging on a pole. This would purely play with the dream physics of what you expect, will happen.. Before falling asleep, you can imagine yourself hanging for infinite amount of time... But as you fall asleep, your mind makes you start to slip and eventually fall down from it. You perform a RC and voila! Maybe you could also imagine the pole as red, with white text that reads "WILD" so that you don't forget what you were doing. How does this sound?
