How Long Does It Take For a MILD Lucid Dream?

      Hello

I recently started the MILD method on my ongoing quest for lucidity every night. Ive been performing mantras and visualization techniques when going to sleep. I have just been wondering, how long does it take for this method to really kick in and have noticeable progress? Any response would be appreciated. Thanks!

It varies. Just focus on your dream recall (by writing down dreams) and lucid dreams will come naturally. Always having the concept of lucid dreaming in your head will help too.

That is so true. I've never really tried to have them, but since I started reading stuff on here I've had it happen more often, probably just by having it in the back of my mind somewhere.

      2 days 20 minutes and 23 seconds

No really it all depends on how long it takes for you to accept the MILD as a tool yourself.

If you think that you become lucid primarily because of the method your misstaken, because it's not like it's a perfect method that will work in a couple of days like if you were taking a medicine.

The method becomes effective because of you! Just like the others have said it's about having the intention of awareness in the back of your head and not focusing directly on the outcome.

There is a reason to why most people experience lucid dreams the moment they give up!

Although with that in mind we can learn from and find a way between actively focusing on it and not focusing on it at all.

For me I use something akin to meditation while visualizing. Using this MILD method I have entered sleep and been in a NREM lucid dream almost immediately. The vividness of these types of lucids is indescribable.

Everyone is different....you must find your own path. Different techniques abound...a variation of one or more of them will likely prove fruitful. when you have an LD write down what you did and theorize why it worked...then test some more. Hone in on YOUR method.
