      Very new at this

Hey guys I have only started trying lucid dreams since tuesday 11/27 and I try the WILD technique. I usually do it right when I got to bed and just lay as sill all possible and try to imagine my dreams and what I want to see. I feel my legs and calves tighten or feel heavy but the never really feel fully paralyzed, and the feeling has never been past my waist. Now while im laying there I don't see and colors of shaped but I this I do hear sounds, but it could all just be in my head. After like 30 mins of just laying there I think im getting closer to lucidy and i get nervous and my heart starts beating so much because every creak or vision i see i get soooooo nervous my heart feels like its in my stomach and i get chills. It like i can almost feel my heart pumping all the way down to my ankles and out to my wrists. Just thinking about it now and doing daily reality checks gives me chills. How do you guys not get so nervous while doing these things?

It's so much harder to WILD right when you go to bed. It should definitelly be done after at least 4.5hrs of sleep. WILD is already not the easiest LD to pull off, why make it even harder for yourself. Once you have some experience and confidence from successful LDs, by all means, go ahead and experiment.

But when you just starting out, you should follow tutorials and tweak them later.

Why don't you give DILD a try. It doesn't involve anything that could make you anxious. All you need is some experience from having LDs. That will make WILDing easier too. Happy dreams.

It's expected for you to be nervous when things start happening that aren't under your control, after a while you get used to it. If you want help inducing full sleep paralysis then try binaural beats, they help me relax and I can be in sp within 5 minutes. Gab is right though when he says you've picked the hardest technique, I've been lucid dreaming for over a year now and I've never managed to WILD.
I agree with trying DILD though, mix it with MILD and you'd be on to a winner if that's the technique for you! The more experience you have with DILDs then it'll make it easier for you to enter a WILD because you know what you're looking for

Sounds like you are focusing too much on your physical body. Try visualizing yourself going into the dream and focus on what your dream will look like and your dream body. Also, remind yourself nothing bad is going to happen and you are going into something great. There's nothing to be scared/nervous about at all. Remember to keep trying! Nobody gets it right away.

      Good luck!!

To WILD i say you sleep for 6 hours and then do it. But you should not be doing anything with fear , with fear bad experiences come.

Maybe the sounds you're hearing is Astral noise ?

oh and for you wanting to be fully "paralyzed" , try energy work?

No need to be or feel paralyzed in order to lucid dream.

And yes, if you expect bad things to happen or you are scared, it will most likely not be a pleasant experience.
