      What to use?

So i have had about 5-10 lucid dreams before so i know how they are but all on accident. I have been trying the MILD for about a month and a half and i took a break with lucid dreaming for about a month. When i was doing MILD i did remember my dreams right when i woke up (usually i remember them later in the day but still in good detail), had dreams about becoming lucid but never actually fully became lucid during to month and a half of doing MILD. I also feel weird doing meditation to raise awareness because i dont think it will help. And i feel kinda stupid doing it.

Can you tell me even if i am doing MILD correctly, this is what i do lay in bed reapting something in my head to tell me im going to have a lucid dream as meaningful as i can. Than when i start feeling tired i try to make my dream.

So i was going to see your input on this. Should i try a new method? One that i dont really want to do is WBTB because i have many people in my house that i dont want to wake up. Even though i do shut it off pretty quick. There are many methods out there but i dont know which to try?

If there are any questions just ask.

MILD - which is repeating mantras - can be powerfull technique. If it doesn't really work for you, you could add daytime awareness + reality checks to highten your chances of DILD. You don't have to use WBTB with this, but if you happen to get up to restroom, take 2 min when you get back to bed to RC+mantras, and then just repeat your mantra as falling asleep. It should be the last thing you think about just before you fall asleep.

      1. Daytime awareness question + RCs + mantras - detailed description in Collection of techniques for DILD.
Do them during day, every time you remember to do it. If you can't remember, use some kind of a reminder ( a sticky note, rubber band on wrist, watch beeping on the hour...)

      2. RCs + mantras before bed.

      3. Mantra as falling asleep.

Don't forget to write your dreams in DJ. Every time you think about your dreams, it tells your mind that dreams and remembering them is important to you.

If you'd like, join me in DILD class for some personalized advise.

WBTB is amazing. My main thought is put WBTB in every method. if you learn how to wake up after every REM you will be able to wake up around six hours and stay up around 30 minutes and go to sleep. WBTB takes a little time to learn what time you should wake up and how long you should stay up. It differs per person, and if you change your diet you will also need to reconfigure it. here is a great thing:

I think meditation does raise awareness... that's what it is all about. There are many forms of meditation. Try visual meditation and see how that works (google it) . Good luck to you!

100% agree with this. WBTB is one of the best ways to make having a LD likely. I think most of my planned LDs start with WBTB.
