I think that I have come to a conclusion to why I "can't" WILD. After a huge amount of fails, and an even larger amount of studying on the subject. I'm pretty sure I have the solution to my problem, even though this solution is not what I would have liked the most, it is something I can benefit from. When I wild I just can't seem to get to that position of "sleeping". My mind is so active that it is almost impossible for me to lay still for 20+ minutes and fall asleep. An example was last night when I tried to wild all I did was get up and use the restroom with all of the lights off, and once I got into my bed I tossed and turned for 30 minutes before actually relaxing. It also takes me an average of like 20-30minutes to fall asleep at bed-time. So what I have discovered is if I still wake up in the middle of the night, and just go back to bed immediately. I end up having this weird DILD/WILD mix where I feel myself going through this weird WILD transition, but go into the dream, and have to realize i'm dreaming within the dream still. Its not full conciseness when I go through that transition stage, but I can still sense the weird body distortions and some images. I think this is the closest I can come to actually falling asleep consciously. It's hard to understand when you read it, but I hope it makes sense. Even though I can't wild fully at the moment I hope this can lead me to the right track, and maybe I will be able to WILD fully.
P.s These dreams are a bit hazy, and they aren't really vivid.
P.s.s I have tried plenty of breathing techniques and they actually have the opposite effect on me and make me stay awake longer.
I just thought I would share this and let you guys know my progress, or if any of you have experienced this. Also thanks for all the help you guys have gave me. I never thought that I would be able to lucid dream this well. I am up to an average of 2 a week starting from last month
