Cool Help with waking up for deild.

Need help with waking up with deild. I use auto suggestions because alarms always make me move. When I do wake up I am always to tired and end up moving. Also I fall to sleep so quick without thinking of deild. Any suggestions like waking up earlier/later. Also tell me if I should use fild in times like the ones above. Please reply ASAP because I REALLY want to have a LD.

Well, the best (and only, actually) way I've been able to DEILD is after waking up from an LD. So for me, DEILD is a an "add on" technique to squeeze out more lucid time, as opposed to a stand-alone way to LD. So practice methods to induce a DILD, then lie still upon waking to induce a DEILD.

FILD would be a great method to use if you find yourself falling asleep too quickly because the movement of the finger is just enough of an anchor to keep your mind from falling back into immediate unconsciousness. Also, when performing a WBTB, some people actually find it more beneficial to get up and grab a glass of water or use the restroom before laying back down to attempt a lucid. The key is to find just the right amount of time to stay up after a WBTB before going back to sleep. You dont want to turn lights on or anything, just do enough to wake your mind up ever so slightly so you dont miss the opportunity.
