      Seeing dreams form

Earlier today when I woke up in the morning I went to get a glass of water and returned to bed. At some point I was semi-conscious and I saw things forming, I saw someone's head quite clear at one moment. But I 'noticed' it and woke up again. Is this how you do a WILD? Should I have let things keep going?

It was a strange experience btw.

This can be a way that you do it. If things start forming, it is best to just let them be for a while and engage when they are fully formed. Engaging before can make you move your real body. They talk about this in.... http://www.dreamviews.com/dreamviews...eamworlds.html

In the podcast it talks about willing yourself to engage the dream instead of moving your body, since that can wake you up. I took it a step further (a while ago) and willed myself to stabilize. This brought me into the dream sooner than before and was a pretty awesome LD experience on top of that.

Hope this helps. It is a weird feeling, because you feel like you are just laying down, but a dream is forming. As soon as you notice it, it seems to go away. just make sure that when you are doing this to concentrate on your anchor until you are ready to engage. Good luck!

You should have let it continue, relax your physical body, and focus on the images while reminding yourself that you will soon enter a dream. The key is to be aware so there isn't a "pause" in consciousness when you enter.

Keeping awareness is an issue as well yes, but these dreams forming don't happen often. I usually fall asleep before that. I reckon my WBTB was like 3 mins.

I can also remember that I woke up in the midst of a dream because I had to run to the toilet.

I wish that could happon to me.

Losing concienceness to have a dream was always an annoying step to entering the dream world for me xD

And, I guess its a little scary when you think about it.

DEILD is whenever you catch the backdraft of a previous dream, and within seconds after waking up from the previous dream, you jump right back into the sleeping state.

Also, every DEILD is a WILD. WILD is a method, DEILD is a technique to achieve the method.

What if you wake up, after few minutes you comeback and continue the same dream, how is this called?
I mean when you are doing the same DEILD but instead of few seconds you spend maybe around 5minutes awake(stand up and talk on phone or open the door and etc) and then you come back to exact same moment in your previous dream(catch a backdraft).

Any time you WILD, you can go back to a previous dream. Almost each of my dreams is connected because I practice incubation. But that would still be considered DEILD I believe.

That technique is WBTB, which is an acronym for wake-back-to-bed.

I am glad someone mentioned this; I always have similar things happen to me when I try the WILD technique. I've never succesfully WILDed as of yet--however, when I make the attempt I end up with hallucinations like this. Usually they revolve around me telling my mother about my WILD attempt and how it went. If I am understanding all of you correctly, it is possible to enter a dream from this state?

The thing is, whenever I take notice that this is happening, it's gone *poof.* Any good methods of preventing them from vanishing when you notice them?
