      No more lucids!

I'm having trouble with attaining lucidity. I had 3-4 lucid dreams in 2 weeks a few weeks ago, my dream recall is better now, my dreams are more vivid, but since then I did not have any other lucid. Any recommendations? Should I try something new?

      Thank you!

Has anything changed sleeping schedule wise through this time period, if so, try to return to previous schedule, if possible ofcourse. Other than that you could try WBTB and/or napping if you haven't already, both awesome for lucid dreaming. You can try to be more aware through day/do RCs more often/try ADA, though that your dreams are getting more vivid is definitely a good sign, also most importantly, set strong intention to have lucid dream, especially before/while going to sleep.
As for trying new techniques, i'd say stick to something that worked for you before, though, experimentation with more techniques can be good as long as you can implement it into overall schedule, i personally use mix of DILD/MILD/WILD/DEILD anyway.

Yeah, my sleeping schedule changed since I started school again. I'll try with WBTB, hope it works

It takes a while to get consistent. If youhave oonly had 3 or 4 LDs, you aren't gonna be consistent because you lack experience. Even if your sleep schedule and techniques are correct.

How is your recall? You can't DILD consistently without consistent recall.

I remember a minimum of 2 dreams up to 4/5.

My rule for recall is to never settle! No recall is high enough. Haha.

Check out these two threads on how to get awesome recall and get the most out of your DJ instead of just writing down your dreams, you can put down useful information to see what actually works.

Also, note that there is a time where you will hit like 8 dreamsa night, but then that number will go down a little bit when you start remembering whole dreams and you see that dreams you thought couldn't be connected actually are. It is really cool when you get like 6+ dreams a night and they are all like 30min+. I am currently at like 5 dreams a night, because of a new child killing my recall, but I almost have it back. Good luck on your search for lucidity.

What tech are you doing anyways?

I've already read the second link and I found it really interesting, I'll do it like that now

Dreams connected? Wow, I can't even imagine how could my weird dreams be connected to each other, but it would be awesome.

Time ago I tried to WILD but I got no success, so I stopped trying hard with it and started practising with other techniques. Now I work with DILD/MILD and sometimes with RWI.

I think what BrandonBoss means is that normally we consider as "one dream" a sequence of scenes that we remember as being connected, how one transitioned into the other. If we don't remember those transitions, it seems like we're having a lot of little "dreams," while in reality there are fewer dreams, we're just forgetting the transitions between scenes. I've had some nights where I woke up 4 times, and each time I remembered 4 totally seemingly unrelated scenes, in other words, "16 dreams." But I know that I'm just forgetting the transitions and the connections. The better your recall is, the more "continuous" your dreams recall will be, and the "fewer dreams" you'll be having (but those dreams will be longer and the transitions remembered).

I have had a dryspell myself for a couple months now, it's pretty annoying but it's something all lucid dreamers go through from time to time.

Your sleep patterns can have a major effect on your ability to remember dreams, even if you sleep the same amount of time.
For example, going to bed at 10 PM and getting up at 6 AM can be very different from going to bed, say, 5 AM and getting up at 1 PM.

Also make sure you have some goals prepared, so you have something to feel excited about and so your brain can more easily understand what you are aiming for.
