Basically, calm down and stabilize before going onto the things you want to do. I think it's just you expecting the dream to end so quickly. Take your time. |

Every single lucid I've ever had had ended up as this. Moment of lucidity, everything instantly falls apart. This pattern occurs invariably. And that would be okay if not for the fact that the last two times I have become lucid I shouted, "Clarity now!" to stabilize. It works, the previously instant fading begins to undo itself into its previous dreamscape. But the moment it's done, it just does it again, except now it's not a fade but an instant stop. After this, I can never remember whether or not I wake up, return to a Non Lucid dream, or what. I'm fairly sure it's not that I'm freaking out (getting too excited) either but I can't prove that. |

Yeah calm down and try to avoid thoughts about your real body. Also try to touch everything around you to convince your mind it's real. If there's nothing nearby touch the ground or rub your hands. Just stand and watch the environment for a while. |

Thanks! |

I experienced the same thing, the solution is to just experience it over and over until you no longer get excited. |

I recently read that you can do jumping jacks. This helps to connect you to your dream body. I plan on trying this in my next LD. |

Total LDs (some very brief) = 2004: 4 * 2005: 18 * 2006: 16 * 2007: 2 * 2008: 0 * 2009: 0 * 2010: 1 * 2011: 12 * 2012: 3 * 2013: 1 * 2014: 6 * 2015: 1 * 2016: 0 * 2017: 18 * 2018: 3 * 2019: 0 (so far)

I agree with making yourself certain of your surroundings and on the feelings that other objects could cause. That's interesting, shouting "clarity now" to stabilize. I might try that if I feel myself losing the dream to quickly. (: |
