      Still nothing...

So I've been trying to achieve lucidity through DILD for about 6 months now. Whenever I see something weird or remember to, I do a reality check. My RC is I look at my hands, think Am I dreaming? and then do the thumb through hand RC and sometimes the nose pinch. I repeat my mantra that I am dreaming every single night before bed. I remember and write down at least 1 dream a night in pretty good detail. With all that, the closest I've come to becoming lucid is when I fell asleep in my dream and realized I was dreaming, but I don't count that. Honestly I'm getting a little frustrated here. I've been working pretty hard for quite a bit, and I've still had no results at all.

Can anyone give me any hints as to what I should do? Am I doing anything wrong? Any feedback would be much appreciated.

      Thanks so much.

Try this along with the other techniques you are using: After you've done your mantras, as you lay in bed waiting to fall asleep, try to completely relax. close your eyes. Breath deeply and relax every muscle in your body. Now, visualize a dream you had recently (the night before if you remember one) in as much detail as possible. Pick a place in the dream where you should have done a reality check and visualize yourself doing a RC, and becoming lucid. Then visualize what you would have done if you were lucid in that dream. Do this every night if possible.

Hi. from what you have said you're attempting to go lucid at bedtime? That NEVER works for me and i am now at the stage where i accidentally go lucid even when i'm not trying!... What works for me is this -> Go to sleep at your usual time and dream normally ( or don't dream at all just sleep). when you wake up do not get out of bed. You want to go back into a mini sleep after your ' proper' sleep which is when i tend to go lucid. It sometimes takes me waking up and going back to sleep a couple of times before lucidity happens but it's never during my first real sleep of the night. When you wake up after your normal sleep lye there with your eyes closed and repeat ' am i dreaming? this is a dream.. i'm sure i'm still dreaming etc ' over and over to trick your mind. you might find your thoughts wandering away from repeating dream talk but try and refocus and continue to say things like i mentioned. you can even say these things out loud or sing a song in your head that uses the word dream in it ( example mr sandman bring me a dream) the object of that is to try and get the word ' dream' stuck in your mind when you drop off into a mini sleep. When i do this i reach a normal dream then suddenly i hear that music play OR i literally repeat one of the phrases i was thinking about and at that point i know i am dreaming for real. This is the only technique i have ever used and i can go lucid pretty much at will now. give it a shot! it might also work for you! goodluck!

It isnt to wild at bedtime. It is simply visualization with mantra which makes mantras way better.

You are kind of doing a bare minimum of what you can for LD. 1 dream a night is pretty low. What else are you doing for recall? I would recommend checking out some different recall techs and some MILD (visuals, autosuggestion, mantra all the time) and especially some micro WBTBs a few times a night.

You should start working more on your awareness then. Have you looked at techniques such as all day awareness or sporadic awareness technique? Definitely give them a shot if you haven't, that's when you'll start seeing results. Good luck

Here's the one I practice, SAT (Sporadic Awareness Technique) I recommend it myself for DILDing
Puffin's DILD Guide - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

All Day Awareness is right here, I tried it but it's super hard at first but I don't doubt that it gets easier as you go along and you'll definitely see some results from this as well

Or maybe, you should try other things like WILDing and DEILDing, or maybe even MILDing. The trick is trying everything out and seeing what works for you. I currently practice DILDing but that's to increase my chances of lucid dreaming, I usually practice DEILDing and it works great for me.

Who can really stop me but myself?

You're only as good as the limits you set upon yourself.
