      Can't get motivated to DJ

Hey everyone. I'm having some trouble getting motivated to write in my dream journal. I just wake up and I'm too tired, or I just don't feel like writing. I hate writing by the way. Does anyone have an alternates to writing in a DJ or some way I can get more motivated?

      Thanks

You don't have to write out whole sentences, you could just jot down key words that when you look over them later could remind you about what happened in the dream. And if you decide to later in the day when you're more woken up you can write out more details that you remember so after a few days or so if you decide to look over your journal it will be easier to visualize the dream again.

For myself, I use an app called Momento for ios. I have good dream recall, so I wait till i wake up for good in the mornings. Also i only log LDs and not non LDs.

The Tag Book Method is great. There's a thread from yesterday about it. You can also keep a voice recorder near your bed, or if you have a smartphone, there are numerous apps that can do voice recording.

A person who wants to lucid dream, HAS to write in a DJ, for me it might be the most important thing towards lucid dreaming. One night you could have one awesome long lucid dream, but whats the point if you don't remember it, writing in your DJ will drastically improve your recall so you can actually remember your epic lucid dreams... No DJ, no Lucids...

Sheldon: No, the X-men were named for the X in Charles Xavier. Since I am Sheldon Cooper, you will be, my C-men.

I concur that a DJ is a must for recall. I can look at an entry from a year ago and it refreshes my memory to an extent even beyond what was entered.
