Testing new ways to attain lucidity.Your opinion is valuable

Since I am new to lucid dreaming, I though I would try something different to attain lucidity. I have two ideas in mind, and I am working on both of them. Let me know what you think:

      1. Before I fall asleep I keep reminding my self that what ever, and I mean what ever happens next is nothing but a dream, and I should be aware. I mean I convince myself that the next events that take place will be considered a dream no matter what I thought of them.

That way when I start dreaming I will not have to look for a sign. I would just know that it's a dream.

Do you see the difference between it and looking for a sign in the dream?

      2. Before I fall asleep I notice that I think of things, events, people. After that I fall asleep. The other night I noticed that the things that I see are becoming unusual. I mean some real events get mixed with unreal ones. Although, I found myself accepting them. It seemed to me that these thoughts where somewhat a stage between the real world and the dream world. As if I was getting my brain ready.

I also noticed that I was beginging to accept these mixtures just as I would in a dream.

So I thought since I can't become lucid because I just turn off the logic chip in my brain, then why not try to keep the chip turned on before falling asleep? I thought this might help keep things turned on even after I sleep.

So I keep reminding myself to think logically when these thoughts are coming to my mind.

What do you think? Have you tried these ideas before?

Yeah, it sounds like a WILD... but its terribly difficult.

I try to do that everynight and its so so hard.
I visualized my bed rotating with my attached and when it turned completely upside down it was in the middle of the sky and i free falled down (trying to hold on to the image so i would free fall into a dream)... no such luck.

I had a dream about Carrows being run by a bunch of teenagers that couldnt get me decent service.

For a WILD to work the settings need to be just right. I have a technique that Ive devised that Everytime your eyes move more then usual do a RT. That way every time you go into REM you'll do an RT! Havent tested it enough to know the results very well.

One thing I've wondered about WILDing, is if you move body do you have to start over?

semi-start over is what I think. Everytime I do it I end up getting an itch, so when I scratch it I kindof have to start over, but it doesn't take as long to get back to where I was.

Some ideas I had: Whenever I moved my eyes I'd do a RT (so everytime you go into REM you do a RT not sure if it works but who knows)

Also I have glasses so If I can convince myself I cant see and in a dream I can then I'd Know I was in a dream.
