Hello,

It sounds to me more like a psychological barrier. If you think that your mind is making having LDs harder, then it will in fact make them harder to achieve. If you think that achieving lucidity is easy, it will be easy. Dream stablization just takes time and practice. Your first few lucids will probably be quite short due to the excitment you will experience. With time and more lucids, you will find which grounding techniques work best for you. The key once becoming lucid is to slow down. Take time to observe your surroundings and really integrate each sense into the scene.

Try to use some mantras and really put out positive energy that you WILL have a lucid dream. It is all mind over matter. Lucid dry spells happen to everyone It is a completely normal occurence. Sometimes if you try too hard, it will actually worsen the problem. Sometimes taking a small break and then going back at it can cure the dry spell by itself. If that is the case, focus more so on dream recall instead of trying to attain lucidity.
