How long did it you guys take to get a good lucid dream?

I've discovered lucid dreaming 2 months ago and i just got 10 second lucid dreams or a bit more. I'm sure that i will have a lucid dream I am doing ADA now and it helped a bit for a really low level lucidity but I'm sure it will help later. So how long did it take for you guys to get a lucid, less than 2 months or maybe a year?

I have not had a Lucid dream as of yet, I have just basically started, but I have gained awareness in my dreams without doing any awareness exercises so that is a +1 Bonus for me.

It varies from person to person. some take days, some takes months, some take years.

I've been on and off with LD'ing for half a year or so now, and have had 4 small lucid dreams in which I was not able to stabilize. The last two lucids were this month though and I was extremely close last night. By now there are two things I have established for myself:

      - I start getting semi-lucids, missed lucids and unstable but full lucids after about 2 weeks of actively DJ'ing, browsing these forums and setting a strong intention every night, also doing WBTB every single night. If I slack off for a week, my recall drops drastically and I have no chance at lucidity at all. One day off can, on the other hand, trigger lucidity due to decrease of stress.

      - I need to increase my awareness (in any sense of the word) so I can stabilize my dreams. I realized this during waking life, where I noticed that I am generally very unaware and lost in thoughts. If I can increase that, the vividness of my dreams will increase as well.

Of course these points are very personal but it might be useful to attempt to establish such things yourself, so that it is very clear to yourself what you need to work on. It's taken me quite a while but I've been slacking a lot with DJ'ing et cetera.

It actually took me two years, but only because I wasn't that serious about it.
I would have some random moments when I would try WILD and then give up after an hour (since I made a point of trying not to swallow etc - you should not try to avoid swallowing during WILD anyway, you should just stop thinking about it and let it happen naturally), and I was also really bad at recording my dreams.
But then I moved to a new house in some time in October 2011, and then all of a sudden I started getting lucid dreams after just two weeks - and I would get them at least once a week from there for several months.
I guess one reason for this was because I had a new environment to practice in, which I immediately learned to associate with lucid dreaming since I had lucid dreaming on my mind right after moving in there.
It was a very ideal place to lucid dream as well, since it was an inviting cabin in a peaceful neighbourhood with lots of trees all around etc.
