      Almost had a lucid dream?

I was meditating or at least listening to binaural beats again, then I fell asleep when I saw this hallway with beige colored walls. It had a bunch of dark rooms (I tend to have non-lucid dreams where I can't turn on the light) and there was sunlight at the end of the hallway coming from another room.
My body went numb again and it was so vivid but I was like "oh crap I'm dreaming" and was aware of that but got scared!

In waking life, I tend to have anxiety problems or be fearful sometimes. I was thinking lucid dreams would help me resolve some of those issues (probably not all). I have been doing reality checks but I hate the fact that I'm too afraid to stay lucid!

I can wake myself up from a regular dream but since I've never had a full-blown lucid dream, how can I wake myself up if I see something too scary in my dreams?

I think that lucid dreams are great for helping to deal with waking life issues. I've been using my dreams a bit lately to help me to resolve some of my anxiety problems and it's helped quite a lot. I'm really glad that you are going to be able to do that as well, it makes me really excited for you.

Congratulations on the lucid dream! I'm sure that in some of your next ones you won't be quite as worried or excited. Also, remember that there's nothing that can hurt us in our dreams, since it's all just us anyways.
But when I get too scared sometimes, I like to close my eyes really tightly then jerk my body violently. That pretty much always works for me.

Holding a lucid dream is tough work. There will not be a moment where you are stuck inside of a lucid dream. Also, if you see something terrifying, you can utilize your power over the dream to make it disappear/turn it into something new/ kill it. Don't worry about running into scary things, because if it happens your dream will end, and if it doesn't you will have a great experience.
