I've been trying to come up with the idea of how to perform ADA and DILD while studying, for example, while learning foreign languages, or while reading technical literature. I have found many threads about attaining lucidity while playing video games, but couldn't find any about attaining lucidity while reading or studying.
Assuming you mean gaining a higher chance of lucidity due to studying, I wouldn't really recommend it. It highly depends on the person. If you are really aware of your surroundings and general senses while studying, then go for it, but most people won't be any more aware than when doing other things. Same applies to gaming. In fact, when I play video games or study, I'm actually less aware of everything than normal.
Answering your last questions, you should try to perform ADA as much as you can. Whether that be all day or having to take 5 or so minute breaks for it, doing it in steps and doing it longer with each step will sooner or later carry it over into your dreams as well. There are definitely other ways to gain lucidity but awareness is always the root of these techniques, and while ADA increases your awareness, it'll aid you for any other of these. Combining this with other techniques such as MILD and/or WILD, and of course, regular reality checks will bring out maximum results.
