...which implies, at least on paper, an attitude that is a big no-no in the world of lucid dreaming: the expectation of failure.
LD'ing is all about mindset, about knowing that you will be lucid next time you dream, and knowing this, especially, if you haven't been successful for a while. This relentlessly positive stance helps you to sidestep a bit of a vicious cycle: if you are negative about your prospects, then your prospects will very likely be negative. No matter how much you know about LD'ing, and how hard you work, success will be difficult if you do not expect to be successful.
Of course, setting your mindset, and your expectations, down a positive path is easier said than done, but it might just be your first step toward consistent success.
