      Recall dry spell?

      I have been keeping a DJ for 20+ days.The past 2 days i cant remember anything as i wake up...The first day i had some alcohol so i thought that was the cause.But today(the next day) i cant remember any dreams.I woke up after 6 hours using my alarm in order to use WBTB and i had nothing to write after 6 hours and after 90 minutes of going back to bet i wake up for the day and i still have nothing for my DJ.Is this a dry spell?Will it fix on its own?

      Did you wake up naturally, or at alarm. Naturally is best that is why you want to tell yourself (at sleep time) that your dreams are important and that you will wake after them, and remember them etc. (and or use something to cause you to wake after every dream like drink lots of water at night). If you wake at alarm and or start thinking about being awake instead of thinking about having just been in a dream you will lose them quickly
      Sure LUCID DREAMS are all fun and games until someone loses a third eye.

      I have been using an alarm that hightens up the sound gradually for a smoother wake up.I count downwards from 100 to 1 as i fall asleep an use the mantra "i wake up after each dream and remember it" after each number.When i drink water i normally wake up 2-3 hours latet so i dont have dreams during that time...maybe its because i drink a lot of water throughout the day...Last time this happened i drank 2 glasses of water..i can drink less i guess.It is very hard to wake up naturally for the day though cause i am at the university at the moment and i have to attain classes early in the morning.So i have to make sure i wakd up.

      maybe try the CAT Cycle Adjustment Technique
      in it you have two different times you wake up
      but same bed time

      when you wake up early you keep your mind active, then you will learn to wake a bit before the late alarm
      you also will have an active mind just before then and increased chance of lucidity on the long sleep days

      it will cause you to lose a little sleep but really if you just set alarm half hour early every other day like Sun, Tue Thur Sat,
      then stop with the alarm but intend to wake up a bit early you will find that you mind will be very active just before normal wake time
      and you will tend to wake just before the alarm,

      before you go to sleep stare at your clock for a bit
      try to believe you will wake up like 2-3 min before it goes off
      (and then when you wake up after recall stare at it again)

      you can train yourself to have early morning awareness,

      also Intensify RC during the early wake days , while maintaining active mind, I play minesweeper at ultra high speed, the goal isn't to win at minesweeper or even become good at it, but rather to force you mind to think at like 5:30-5:59 am and then set that alarm for 6:00am and imagine you'll wake up with it reading like 5:57

      your brain will expect to be randomly awakened at 5:30 or 6:00 exactly but not be sure which, and it will think it needs to be able to think even in sleep state from 5:30 on (hence the heightend awareness and expectation that its a good time to reality check)

      Yeah, just resolve to wake up a few minutes before your alarm, and stay in the position you had the dream in.

      I also use my phone instead of a notepad to jot down notes. Then transfer them to my computer.
