Best method for lucidity for naps

Welp, I was wondering since I usually have enough time to take naps and don't want to wait until night to dream what is, in your opinion, the best method for lucidity for naps and how long it would take. If you don't mind also could you give a few tips to make lucidity come more smoothly and easier.

About naps - If I would have unlimited nap time I would do the following:

      1. wake up after 5-6 hours of sleep
      2. do a huge wbtb of 1-2 hours (feel free to eat, talk, work, do whatever - as long as it already bright outside, or if it's dark stay away from artificial light)
      3. go back to sleep for up to 2 hours (you can do more, shorter, wbtbs during the nap)

The three times I done this in the past 3 months I had 3-4 lucid dreams and several more NLDs on each of the occasions.
But it could be that it will work differently for you - no way knowing for sure...
Overall, I advise to still get your normal amount of sleep (7-8 hours for me) - e.g. in my example it's 6 hours before the large WBTB + 2 hours after ("morning nap"). Getting too much sleep might be counterproductive (it is for me at least).

I wish I could do this more often though, but life.

      Could you be more specific?

It's a very wide question... In general, for beginners I would suggests to focus on DILDs (recall + awareness / mindfulness + mantras + RCs). WBTBs are always beneficial too, even if for only a couple of minutes. Learning to notice micro-awakenings at night is also important. After that, maybe start trying out and experiment with WILDs (like the regular, or DEILD, or SSILD, etc) - these take more practice for most people and usually much more useful in combination with DILDs.

I think that the best method for lucidity for naps is not the same for everybody. I personally have a very high success rate with simply doing some positive affirmations after a 2-4 hour WBTB, such as, "I am going to have lucid dreams!"

I really like what Spock said about it - start with DILDs, WBTB's are great, and noticing your micro-awakenings is very helpful. I think that what you should do is start experimenting to find what works best for you! Just make sure that you don't try to take a nap after being awake for too long or you might have a deep sleep instead of a ton of high awareness dreams.

I've been having a lot of micro-awakenings lately after dreams. Would a mantra during these micro-awakenings work in your opinion, or should I be more focused on entering right into a dream scene? (I'm seem to have pretty good luck with mantras).

You can do both or just one at a time, depending on how it feels like, how much sleep you had, etc... I think this level of fine-tuning is something that everyone should experiment with himself. But I tend to focus more on entering right away after waking up from a lucid or a vivid dream (and do DEILD) or if I'm very sleepy and let's say had only 3 - 5 hours of sleep. Or if I only had 3 - 5 hours of sleep I sometimes do only mantras (if I know I'm too sleepy). Mantras in combination with maintaining awareness I use after more sleep, like 5 - 7 hours, and especially after long WBTB and before naps. After more sleep or a long time of being awake I'm awake enough to do mantras without falling asleep and losing awareness by accident, and from the mantras I transition gradually to the WILD (falling asleep while aware).
