When I first started to WILD this happened to me all the time. I always struggled with crossing over from that kind of "sleep paralysis" state into a dream. Eventually I just kind of got better at it. So unfortunately I don't really have any advice other than to keep trying. Congrats on the experience I remember my first WILD experience I was so excited to even reach that little body heavy numb stage haha. Only thing I can really suggest is instead of waiting for a dream to come once you're in that numb stage is to basically take into your own hands, it's a little hard to describe, so I'll just tell you what I do.
I've found that when I'm in that numb stage my mind is really open to suggestion. So I basically imagine that I'm rolling off my bed. Like, in your mind if you imagine moving your hand in waking life you know how you can almost feel it actually moving. In this little numb state I've found that whatever I imagine basically happens. So I just roll off my bed and then my room becomes my dreamscape. Alternatively you could just start imagining a dreamscape and interacting with it and it should eventually just plop you into it. Anyways, I don't mean to try and push my methods on you or anything haha. If you have any other questions about WILD I' be pretty happy to answer, most of my lucids are from WILD, so I like to think I'm decent..
