      Need help. Can't go lucid

      Hello there!
I started with lucid dreaming in october and I've had a dream journal since january and I also do reality checks during the day. My dream recall have increased much but I have not been able to go lucid yet. I have tried multiple strategies like WILD, DILD SILD.
So please help me some tips to be a better a dreamer and hopefully go lucid one day

have you tried doing the FILD technique? It is basically a way faster version of the wild strategy and it only takes about 1 minute to become lucid. There are some tutorials on how to do this if you don't know how. Hope this helps.

How long have you been doing each technique? It can often take a while working with one technique before it can become effective, so your best bet is to stick with one instead of switching around repeatedly.

Also, I would advise against FILD right away. Besides the fact that you don't want to switch techniques all the time, FILD is best if you already have some experience with WILD and the like. If you don't know the proper mindset to be in, you'll just find yourself lying in bed for hours, twiddling your fingers and hoping for the best (trust me, I made that same mistake when I was first starting out).

I have been trying DILD since october last year and WILD the last couple of nights without any results. I sort of Can't relax enough to get WILD working.

Yeah, do FILD at your own risk of insomnia. WILD is probably not something you should be trying to do if you've never had an LD. Think of yourself in preschool still learning your ABC's; WILD is advanced-level graduate stuff lol. SpellBee2 is right. You don't really want to mess around with WILD methods or accelerated FILD stuff if you're not able to limit the activity of your mind. I can't do it yet either, so it's nothing to fret over. But thankfully, there are simpler methods which work for us by falling asleep with intention. For me it's all about desire and habitually immersing myself in everything LD-oriented: books, videos, tutorials, chat rooms, etc. The intention will eventually carry over into the subconscious. Just make a habit of thinking about it a lot, visualizing yourself awakening in dreams and doing RCs that fail. Think positively that it'll happen, and celebrate every non-lucid by imagining what it would be like awakening in them as you update them to your DJ. Eventually it will happen (and it's usually when you least expect it -- that is, when you've given up "trying" to have an LD . Sounds crazy, but it's true. But definitely stay away from WILDing. Focus more on MILDing. Read everything you can on the subject. Let it become the primary object of your waking thoughts. But not to the extent of stressing out over it.

When you wake up from dreams, recall the things you experienced that you would not likely experience in waking life. Write them down in your dream journal and connect those things with dreaming. For example:

When I see a monster, I am dreaming.
When my body feels heavy, I am dreaming.
If there are uninvited guests in my house, I am dreaming.

Once these are written down, reimagine each one happening in your dream, only with you realizing you are dreaming. Then, tell yourself that this will happen next time you experience that dream sign.

By doing this, you are developing connections between dream signs and dreaming. This way, when you experience a similar dream sign in the future, you are more likely to be reminded that you are dreaming.
