Last night(this morning) is my first attempt in awhile with the WBTB method, and once again it worked beautifully. I'm constantly amazed at how well this method works. My success rate is almost 100%. I can honestly only rememeber a handfull of times it didnt work.

I went to sleep at 11:00pm. I woke up at 4:00 and layed in bed til 4:15 starring up into darkness. I got up went on DV for a minute and then turned the computer off. I paced in the darkness for 30 minutes just getting a feel of the physical world, so I could take that with me to my dream. I looked out the window and saw a large evergreen tree blowing in the wind. It looked quite magical so I did a nose/breathing reality check. I was still awake. I paced around some more. And felt like i was dreaming again....it feels wierd walking around in the darkness on little sleep.....I flipped a light switch and it worked, and flipped it off right away. After 30 minutes passed I decided it was time to go to sleep. I layed down on my side and very quickly began seeing HI. Strangely enough I was seeing the DV site scrolling endlessly, and controlling it a bit. I started walking around this mental space, amazed at how quickly it was working(I was not dreaming yet...just playing around with my HI), but I lost focus and rolled to my other side...my mind wandered and I caught it wandering and kept thinking about what I was going to do when I got into my dream. Well, eventually my mind wandered again and I entered a dream. I dont remember this dream too well, but about 20 minutes into it I realized I was dreaming and had a false awakening. Out of practice as I am, I didnt do a Reality check, but still managed to quickly realize I was still dreaming. Then I did just what i planned. I decided not to do anything crazy, but just to get my dream legs back and explore my dream world. I havent been lucid dreaming for a few months, so I didnt want to try anything crazy. I went over the basics. I did some dream spinning and actually spun for at least a full minute. I teleported nicely to the top of a building. I opened a door and this Taiwaneese man I work with was there, and I started fighting him kung fu style. It wasnt a fair fight, I did some fancy moves and kicked him back where he came from. I flew around a bit from building to building and just had a great time exploring. Lucid time was about 20 minutes.

I have a four day weekend so I plan on doing this some more. Next time I will stay up for 45 minutes to an hour. I think with only a half an hour my REM didnt come quite so easily as it has in the past.

Anyone who hasnt had any, or many lucid dreams, I have to plug the WBTB method. Of course the ultimate goal is not needing to do this, but as a result, I have my most vivid, life-like, and longest lucid dreams. And it's nice to be able to plan a lucid dream.

EDIT:I just remembered two things to add. I was running around sluggishly, like a human does, and realized I didnt have to. So I learned how to walk hyper fast. I didnt even need ot run. Like Flash Gordon or something. Also I made good use of shouting commands to keep my dream going. Everything was getting dark and I shouted "Get brighter! Get Brighter!" and it worked perfectly.
