      A few Questions

I am new here, and am still a little lost. I can remmebr all my dreams almost perfectly, and have been writign them down for about a week. But, I still am having problems actually attaining a lucid dream.

Anyways I have a few questions.

      1. When doing MILD, do you state" I will wake up and remmeber my dream" out loud, or do you just think it? Also, do you wait till you fall asleep and wake up to do the next step? At this next step, are you going to say something out loud, or visualize it, and what EXACTLy do you need to do/say here? I tried imagining myself in back my dream that i just woke up from, and i couldnt think of any dream signs in the spot i left off from when i woke up (Can you just make one up?)

2.For some reason, I always dismiss obvious things like remembering to do reality checks when i dream. Also, if something happens, like a couch explodes, i just ignore it in a dream. How do i counter this?

I am namign my subconcious currently, so ill see if that helps too.

Please, i would really like some help here...

I can not answer your first question because I'm not familliar with MILD. But to answer your second question about dismissing obvious dream signs, you just need to practice. This is probably best done by stopping a few times everyday and taking a really good look at your surroundings, especially in familliar places. By doing this you are more likely to notice the obvious weird stuff while dreaming (there is almost always something weird with your surrounding area in dreams.) I'm sure the first few times will not work, but after a while you will start to notice things that you would have otherwise dismissed while dreaming.

Think it, and either wait till you fall asleep or wait until you're really sure your intent is set. Next step just imagine yourself in the dream you just had, except imagine realizing something is weird and doing a reality check. It doesn't have to be a specific dream sign, just the context or your emotions or something.

1- When doing anything like 'MILD' the primary thing you have to understand is to not mindlessly spam yourself with the words 'I will become lucid'. It doesn't matter if you say it out loud orjust think about it, thing you do gotta know is that it isn't a magic spell

Now I hear you say, I know. But I know many people that just sit/lay there and keep repeating 'I will become lucid, I will become lucid, I will realise I'm dreaming' all the time, this is hardly effective 8) Instead, it's better to tell yourself once and then really think about what you just said. What does it mean to be lucid, and while you are thinking about it, are you lucid right now? If yes/no, then why? And why are you sure? Confirm yourself in as many ways possible. Where are you, does that make sense? What time is it? What did you do today, does that all make sense? Does everything around you seem correct, etc. Ponder that for a while, and a couple times a day, and especially before you go to bed and it'll be much more effective Awareness is important.

2- This question was already answered pretty well You just need to turn your awareness of things that go on around you into a habit and a natural thing, and you'll get there
