How many dreams do you remember per week?

This is just for my personal curiosity, I'm trying to get my business partner into lucid dreaming, and it's hard for me to remember *not* keeping a dream journal and remembering loads of dreams every night. I suppose this poll is a little biased, because if you're voting, you're obviously interested in dreams... ah well.

      Thanks for your help

I usually have 1-2 dreams that I can remember a night. Could be because I'm an uberlight sleeper.

I don't really know if I can explain it easyly, but I been lucid dreaming since I can remember and I think it has to do with the fact of growing up lucid dreaming, I guess It just becomes normal in some way. Cuban you ask? well I'm not cuban, neither in cuba, I've been there though, Now I live a bit to the south, why ya ask?

Usually recall at least 1-2 per night, but there are times i recall up to 5 or 6 dreams/night. Depends on how much sleep I get.

      ULD?

One of my most memorable dreams was like a LD. One of my contacts said that it was a ULD, but I am not sure (what a ULD is).

I went to a fake reality simulator, and I was flying! (I was a dragon ) During the 'simulation' I said to myself. "I can do whatever I want- I am in a simulator"

I was in a city, and the buildings were all red. It was a sunset. Yesterday I realised that it was New York, Central Park. I have never been there before, but somehow I dreamed it. I hadn't even played any Spiderman games for PS2 to see what it looked like,.

Then I lost control, and this guy with a sythe was trying to kill me, and I woke up from the simulator, and was banned from it. I was then told I was going to be executed with the boy.

So, how would you classify this dream?

My record is 6, and I used to remember an average of about 3. (per night)
Lately it's not that easy to say, because I'm not sleeping monophasically like you lot.
But my recall seems a lot worse than it used to be. Laziness I think

Try relaxing and/or talking to people about your dreams. Just don't tell them the embarassing ones!

I remember an average of 5 or 6 dreams a night with the dream recall flucuating between 2 to 3 if I have a hard time getting to sleep, to as many as 13 or 14 if I am off the next day and can sleep in. My problem is getting lucid in my dreams. and then staying lucid, as I tend to wake up the minute I become aware that I am dreaming.

I remembered 11 dreams last night and had as many as 6 or 7 very odd things happen in these dreams such as trying to turn on a light that didn't turn on, looking at my clock and seeing that it was 06:30, which was a false awakening as it was not even 05:00 yet, and yet not once did I question the fact that I might be dreaming. At least I seem to be getting closer.

I've found that listening to a sound file I create using a text-to-speech editor, and then add an echo effect to, and have it just barely audible so that I can hear it, but not loud enough to disturb me, to be very beneficial in helping with dream recall, however it hasn't seemed to help with becoming lucid. I have the sound file blended in behind a relaxing music file I listen to.

Anywhere from about 10-14 a week, depending on what time I decide to get in bed. :sweat1:

For some odd reason, that reminds me of something they did in a theatre (but its banned now). Every now and then, just for opne frame in the movie, they would flash an advertisement of say, coco-cola. Suddenly you will feel thirsty for coco-cola, because your mind saw it very briefly.

      WEIRD

      Anybody ever have this?

Last night I dreamt of a a place that I had been before (in a dream). The place was the exact same, and I said to myself in the dream. "I've been here before!"

      Does that make it Lucid?

Hi Kyhaar, this is the wrong place to ask
You should have made your own thread, instead of hijacking this one.
      Nevertheless, I'll answer you:
If you realised that the last time you were in that place was a dream, and that it was a dream again, then yes.
A lucid dream is simply knowing that you're dreaming.
If you didn't realise this, then you had a dream about a deja vue

I'd say it's dejavu in a dream, but not necessarily lucidity. Were you aware of yourself?

      Check this out:

I've dreamt lucidly of a particular tower in the dream world, spent some time flying around it, drawn a picture of it, and when my girlfriend saw the picture, she said, "I had a dream of that tower when I was a kid! How did you know?"

I highly doubt the two of us had any common experience in childhood that could have made that happen, my girlfriend is from Taiwan and I'm from Alaska. Also, the tower was designed in a unique way that only lucid dreamers could get inside. When I saw it, I knew it was built specifically for that purpose.

Now, my mission is to prove that there are indeed common places in the dream world that dreamers can visit. I've had similar experiences on more than one occasion, so I'm sure it's true, I just need more evidence at the moment.

      Anyone else have this experience?

Hmm. I often have deja-vu in my dreams.

We really should make a new thread. We can combine the two things into the same topic

"Deja-Vu In Dreams and Common Lucid Dream Places" Or something like that.

      Ok then, back on topic.

I usually have 2-3 per night, except on weekends when I lie in and have a few more. But recently I've had no recall at all . I've been waking up early to do HIT as well. . I'm going to try HILD instead now and see if that works, wish me luck.

I usually have 5-6 dreams a night during the weekdays, as long as I get normal sleep. And then maybe 20 over the weekend. Usually remember 10 a night then...but not all are full dreams. Often times they are just visions or images.

And on the hijacked topic of deja vu, I have a few "Dream Stores" that I regularly visit. As blatant dream signs that they are, I haven't yet become lucid in these dreams. They are just usually very very vivid.
