Everyone experiences dry spells. It's terrible that WILDs are becoming harder for you. Maybe you just need to get reacclimated to doing them, since you have taken a break. Keep trying, or try another method. Good luck! |

I always liked trying WILD but I have always been pretty bad at them. Infact it seems like each time I try I get worse. I remeber the first time I ever tried, I failed but I got really close. Ever since then I slowly got worse and worse at them. After the last big break I took from trying, I started again and now I notice I don't get any where at all. I might as well just lay there and stare at the ceiling and I get just about the same results. |

Though I have not become lucid yet, I think you should try a MILD paired with a WBTB (Read the tutorial) They are much easier in my opinion, but when you do them for awhile, try WILDS again. |
I have tired them before too. I have never had a lucid dream from them though. They basicly give the same results as when I try WILD. Which is I just fall asleep or I just lay there and nothing happens untill I get up and do something else. |
Well, is your dream recall good? Try autosuggestion. When you try a WILD, say something like "I WILL do a WILD tonight" That's all I can give you. |

The only other little tip I'd give is that if you've convinced yourself, even only subconsciously, that you're getting worse every time, guess what happens? |
If that was true, then it would have worked from the start when I got very close and I thought for sure it would work the next time. |
Ah but you need practice as well as belief. I'd have to bow down to the greatness of anyone who managed to do one successfully in only a couple of tries. |
Thats not something that would just change in a day though. And you don't lose confidence when you get close on the first try. Besides I don't believe belief has anything to do with dreaming. I know once when I first got started with lucid dreaming, I felt like I wasn't getting anywhere, and that night I had zero confidence yet out of no where I had 3 lucid dreams in a row. |
Fair enough, it's just something that worked for me when I found an aspect of dreaming difficult and felt like I was on a downward spiral. Breaking my current thought patterns and restarting was what did the trick for me. Good luck though,WILDs are well worth the effort when you can do them. |

yep i agree with everyone who said its about your motivation and what you are telling yourself. i suggest trying brainwave generator. its a program which pretty much can change your brain waves. there is a built in self hypnosis thing. (there are actually two). |
