Well In my youth up till my 17th or so had always been sleeping with a light on. Made me feel comfortable for some reason. I used to have the wildest dreams my whole youth, but then lost my Dream Recall. I have since prefered to sleep in complete darkness to sleep better. I don't know if the 2 synchronisez and if the Light has anything link to my Dream Recall. |

But you would have to wonder why one doesn't have nightmares everytime the sun is up while they sleep. I guess it would have to be the quality of electric light right? |
|
Maybe this is another reason why dreams are easier to remember when you wake up in the morning and go back to bed. Besides the fact the REM periods are longer later in sleep, the light could make it easier to recall your dreams. I find it easier to recall dreams once I woke up and went back to sleep. |

Yeah I found it so Perculiar to Suddenly remember 2 such vivid and remarkably Graphically, Emotinally, Auditory and tactily Detailed Super Realistic Dreams one Morning. Especially knowing I hadnt remembered even 1 complete dream in more than a month now. The only Difference was the Light I left on, so I'm going to sleep with that Low, warm light on again tonight. It's right next to my bed. I noticed that when I put on my Lamp and tried to fall asleep that my HI had gone pretty Wil all of a sudden too. More magical, more abstract, more dreamlike allready. |

A lava lamp works I guess. That's the only light I have next to me. |

In Tibetan dream yoga they say keeping a candle burning (written a long time ago) throughout the night helps to keep awareness. If I absolutely have to get up at a certain time and there's a chance I won't I'll leave the light on, seems to make me sleep lighter and makes it easier to wake up. |

well I did it again last night. Woke up with a very Scrambled Dream Recall. But I do remember having had wild dreams. The feeling lingered and is still with me now. It's just that I didn't awaken very smoothly because of my mom leaving the house very early and kind of noisy. Then my AlarmClock went off and it took me a real long time to wake up and figure out it was my cellphone alarm. The dream was still with me and I still felt weirded out because of the dream, but the result is I cannot remember any details of my Dream. |

It's a scientific fact that even extraocular light can increase the length of REM periods up to 30 percent. I often sleep with a fluorescent lamp at my popliteal in the second half of sleep. |

Hmm, this looks like another technique I'll have to try...... |

I did it last night. I can't say it worked for me yet, but the HI came faster and was more vivid. I had 2 dreams, 1 which I forgot. |
