This method Came up with last night worked for me on my first attempt!

It combines WILD, MILD, And BPILD

Im assuming you know what WILD & MILD is.

      Let me explain BPILD:
BPILD is Bodily Projection Induced Lucid Dreaming.

To do this, you go lay down & close your eyes.
Now, imagine yourself rising out of your body -- A projection of yourself, or a ghost of yourself.
Now, let this body fly out of your room, and out of your house. Imagine it flying around, doing something totally unrelated to sleeping. Try you ascocaiate yourself with this projection. When you have a dream, you will have an easier time realizing its a dream.

      Now, heres my method.
First, do a MILD, and tell yourself that you WILL realize you are dreaming when you sleep.
Then lay down. Start your BPILD.. but, this time imagine your projection flying around AND saying "1...Im dreaming, 2...Im dreaming...etc"

So, you have merged 3 methods into one night.

Try your best to keep the WILD up. If you lose track, and fail the WILD, the two other methods are still there, and you should be fine.

      Tell me how it went!

The fact this worked for you on the first try doesn't mean it's a 100% success rate method, nor that it's the best.

If you have found your method, congratulations, nevertheless.

I'm always glad for a new suggestion. Very creative! I'll try it.

I'll give it a try. But it sounds a lot like a WILD, actual like Stephen LaBerge's 'one body' or 'no body' technique.

Hmm sounds interesting. I will try it. I think though, like the method I posted, it is all about intent and visualizations. However, I think it is good to try different methods. For me it seems to keep my brain guessing so that it is more difficult to sabotage my LD.

I tried, and I couldn't concentrate at all on the floating. But I soon fell asleep, and I had an LD, read about it here. Might use this more. Well done.

I'm gonna look into it. I've never attempted MILD or "real" WILD, so it's got to be interesting. I'll post back some results

      ---------
Lost count of how many lucid dreams I've had

It sounds like an astral projection method to me but I'm always up for new techniques as I still haven't had a LD

      On top of that, I will most likely wake others using a audible alarm;
iPod is hard to keep in, and autosuggestions is undependable at best.

between the two, however I seem to wake up alright.

I have the same results trying any technique in the middle of the night, or
right when I lay down to go to sleep. I just lay there counting my breaths
for about an hour or so, no SP, no nothing, then I give up and sleep.

The best way to wake up for WBTB is to drink a lot of water before you go to sleep. It might also be useful to note that even if I don't wake up I only get lucid dreams on nights when I drink a lot of water.
I had a strange dream last night...
