I think I just almost got into a Wild

Well. I was taking a nap in my bed about 10-15 minutes ago, although it is so
near, it is difficult to remember. I lay in my bed, feeling a bit drowsy, not having as a goal to become LD now, just to have a rest, but after a while I feel that my body gets paralyzed and I can't move very well (I do not know if I had fallen asleep before this or if I was just half-sleeping) Well, this freaks me out a bit because it comes so sudden, and I try to open my eyes, and everything is very blurry for some reason. I also hear some kind of windy sound, altough it isn't windy outside. Everything also seems to be lighter, even though it is total darkness outside. So I started to think about LDing, and I thought that I might be dreaming now or something, so I try to look at the alarm clock too see if the time was correct, but as I said it was too blurry. As I'm a bit freaked out by not being able to move, I try to get out of the paralyze, and I manage to do so. I sit up for a few seconds, but I'm still sleepy, so I lay down again, and after a few second I can feel my body being paralyzed again. This happens 1 or 2 times.

Then I get up and stay up a bit and everything in the room is now clear and the sound is gone. It is also darker then I tought it would be. Then I sit and think for it 5 minutes or so, and try to get back into paralyze again, but I'm to awake to manage now.

My body is still feeling a bit shaky

Note that I have been mostly been focused on having an LD with the WBTB or Mild technique, and I haven't tried Wild or stuided it so much yet.

what time were you taking your nap? and what is your sleeping schedule like?

all of my attempts at a WILD have failed. However, I can get pseudo unintentional WILDing if I nap in the late afternoon. Its not even my aim to fall asleep, let alone have a lucid dream. One time though, the sleep paralysis was so sudden and intense it felt like my whole room was shaking. When I opened my eyes it was as if some invisible force was pulling me by the tshirt, lifting me off my bed, and then dropping me back down. I sorta 'passed' out after that as everything went black. When I opened my eyes again I was in classic sleep paralysis and any minute now the hag would visit me. I rolled out of bed and entered a lucid dream, but it didnt last very long - I was only napping after all!

I naturally wake up half way through my sleeping cycle, and the last half of my sleeping is when all the best dreams happen. However, these days I've been going to bed so late that when I wake up halfway through, the sun is already up, interfering the last half of my dreaming. I could try to WILD at this time, but its hard with all the noises in the kitchen of people eating breakfast But I bet you I could have a WILD nap because I missed out on the last bit of my REM cycle.

So if you are like me and find you can fall into sleep paralysis easily at nap time, or even have a WILD, as fun as it is it normally just means you didnt get enough sleep last night!

I'm skipping out on nap time now. I miss my WBTBs while the sun is still down!

      Thanks for the reply!

I don't really know my sleeping schedule that well, but often I get not much sleep at night

I hope I can manage to get a real WILD, though, sometimes I get into the first stage when I'm in bed but then fall asleep

sounds like you were very close to WILD. On my first WILD which was to be honest, only a few nights ago, I wasnt actually intending for anything to happen, as well. My body began vibrating rapidly and I heard sounds all around me, which is when I realized what was happening, and I carried it on into a dream... the trick is to let yourself fall asleep, while maintaning the littlist amount of conciousness. Sounds like you were very close
